Bella still working at the Newtons' tutoring Alec and Jane.  She arrived and Mrs Stanley was quite forward I felt.  Asking Bella all those questions about being engaged to Lord Masen.  If she was going to marry him Stanley's behavior towards her was atrocious. Mrs Newton telling the children that Bella wouldn't be back and making them stay in the schoolroom all morning.  Still claiming the children are horrible.  I don't think so not with Bella.  Mrs Newton's accusations in front of the children was just horrid and nasty.  Calling her a trollop with a child with Lord Masen.  Rumors ran rampart throughout the town.  But the worst was Mike getting too friendly with her.  Putting his hands on her thigh and propositioning her physically as well as manipulalting her to get Lord Masen interested in his business dealings.  Thank goodness for Alice's arrival.  Gave a distraction for Bella to escape.  Alice kidnapping her to select material for a dress for Saturday's party for Lord Masen.  Afterwards Alice took Bella to her home for measurements.How will Newton feel with her leaving 2 hours earlier.  Edward showed up at the house annoyed with Alice.  when Bella confided to Alice about Mike's advances Edward didn't like it.  If I were Mike  I wouldn't put a move on Bella she has 2 powerful suitors neither wanting someone defiling her.  Sure Mike will be told by either Edward or Lord Masen to cease or pay consequences.  Looking forward to the next chapter.  Enjoy your family and have a Happy Thanksgiving Holiday with them.

Apple didn't fall far from the tree with Mrs. Newton, did it?  Unfortunately, there are a lot of people like the Newton/Stanley clan.  Hope to have the next chapter to my validation beta by the end of today (Wednesday).  And thank you for the well wishes!

Great chapter!  Your Mike Newton is so revolting!  UGH.  Can Edward kick his ass or something?

Please...less L and more Edward & Bella.  I'm sure you love your OC quite a bit but she is over taking the story.  I am starting to skim whenever she pops up. 

Looking foward to seeing how Bella deals with the romrs and with two suitors who are actually the same man.  Wow...I have a feeling that she's gonna be pissed.  heehee

LOL!  Newton is not going to come out of Evermore unscathed.  Not saying what's going to happen to him, but....

 

As for L, she's important to the backstory but if you can bear through the next chapter, she fades quite a bit.  Not killing her off, mind you...but she has other issues to deal with.

Oh, I wonder if you're going to use the masks at the ball as a way to bring Lord M and Edward into a single person. That'd be great!

Thank you.  And yes, the Newton/Stanley clan are something.  As for masks....maybe! *grin*

It seems like everyone should be on guard duty with James on the loose.  Why weren't they able to detect him living in one of the abandon homes?  Hmmm.  I loved the scene with B/E while he was playing piano - he was so sweet to her and she allowed him in - just a little.  Love your story.

Thanks for the review!  First, Alice wasn't looking for James & didn't have her radar up for him.  That is obviously no longer the case.  Also, his actions were random and not something planned.  I loved the piano scene, too.  It was so easy to write!

Ls script shouldnt matter...if she loves her friend edward then she shouldnt give him grief because he fell in love

She's not upset he fell in love.  The entire Lord Masen character wasn't in the original script and someone that major upset  L.  And, at the beginning, L did not know who this LM was, compounding her feeling of not being in control.  L's actually thrilled E's going to find his someone.

Enjoyed learning more about L's backstory.  So, Lord Masen and Edward are both going to court her?  Smiling.

Thank you.  I'll admit to being a bit nervous when I write so much about L.  She's not a canon character but rather important in Evermore, so I have to include her.  And yes, both are going to court Bella...I'm rather jealous.
