Great chapter. It's good to see Bella opening up more and more. Glad Edward liked his gift and shared his worries with Bella. Hope Bella will go on and study Literature. Can't wait to read more. Please update soon.

So Alice is moving to France to study design? I didn't see that coming, but good for her! Bella will miss her sister but I think the separation will help her mature. I'm happy to see how Edward is maturing, too, thinking about his future with Bella and wondering how he's going to make it all work.

I love how Edward is so supportive of Bella and always seems to know the right thing to say to make her feel better. It is nice that he would encourage Bella to further her education, too, even though that could mean delaying their marriage but I think Edward is ready now, at least for one particular aspect of marriage!

Looking forward to more, as always!

I loved it it was so sweet but still seemed a little foward without courting.

Author's Response:

Thanks so much for reading and reviewing. Yes ... it's likely that men of that time wouldn't have been AS forward without courting. However, I felt it was important with Bella's fragile character to make sure she understand that he actually WANTED her, if you know what I mean. As you will see in the coming chapters, it is all too easy for her to brush off his advances as show. I want her to understand that he is attracted to her because he wants her, not because he is being made to be with her. But, that comes through in later chapters as well. I hope you continue to enjoy. And I apologize for not responding sooner. The site wasn't letting me reply for a few days. Not sure what was up with that. haha! Thanks! ~jen

Poor Bella never thinking she is good enough

Author's Response:

No, she doesn't think she is good enough and hopefully with Edward and Aunt Esme's help, we can get that self esteem back up! Thanks so much for reading and reviewing! ~Jen

Great chapter. Poor Bella, glad she talked to Alice and her going away won't tear them apart. When will Edward propose? I never thought about all the things that Edward did. Can't wait to read more. Please update soon.

I really like the period piece you have created.  You have really grown in your writing over the chapters.  No hate, just honest feedback:  the first two chapters seemed rather juvenile in the writing, maybe because you were expressing Bella's ignorance and innocense in the beginning.  I wasn't certain I wanted to continue reading this, but I really loved the idea of your story and stuck it out to see what you were going to do with it and I am pleasantly surprised to see such growth. I have noticed a great deal of improvement and confidence in your writing, even with Edward's POV.

Thank you for sharing this story with us.

Author's Response:

I'm really glad you enjoyed the growth of the character. It's difficult to convey the type of character Bella was at the beginning of this story without having a narrow, limited view of the world and the other characters. I think that as she's grown and seen more of the world and more of life, she's grown a lot. As for EPOV, that has ALWAYS been easiest for me. haha. I just feel as though his voice is easier to hear and write than Bella's. Although, as the story progresses, her voice is definitely easier to write. She's just becoming easier to relate to, I think, as she grows. I hope you continue to enjoy. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing! ~Jen

Just started this story yesterday and am already caught up!  Couldn't put it down.  Love the detail in your writing and I'm a sucker for a story that takes place in the past.  I have to say, you're good at making lemons without "going all the way"!  LOL  Look forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response:

I am so glad that you are enjoying! :) I just wrote an outtake of this story that will be published on the Smut Monday feature of this site. I'm currently working on chapter 12 and hope to have it to you guys very soon. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing! I hope you continue to enjoy! :) ~Jen

*snorts in laughter* The last line. where Alice tells Bella they need to talk is awesome.

Author's Response:

I'm SO glad you liked that. :) Thanks for reading and reviewing! ~Jen

*SWOON* I seriously think I've just melted into a puddle. That was the best chapter yet! I desparately want to be able to see them in the wedding outfits that you described so beautifully, but even more I want to see Edward take off his tuxedo jacket, loosen his tie, roll up his sleeves, and prepare to dance!

He and Bella have been getting hot and heavy lately and I've been wondering when she would feel "something hard". And if she's so innocent that she doesn't know what it was then Alice has A LOT of explaining to do!

I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this story! Thanks for writing it and keep up the good work!

Author's Response:

If I had links to the wedding regalia, I would definitely send them to you. Unfortunately, the dresses and such are just a mish mash of the different dresses I saw when researching. Yes ... I'd kind of love to see Edward do those things as well. It was certainly lovely in my head! haha!

Thank YOU so much for reading and reviewing. It mean so much to me that people continue to enjoy this story! ~Jen
