I just found this story and read it right through.  I am looking forward to the next chapter.  This has been wonderful so far.  So many questions, what did Edward do to get discharged?  Did Esme ever stand up to Carlisle?  Will Jasper accept Edward or judge him by the "Army" code?

I enjoy EPOV. I also understand you're not dissing the military. The story you are telling is SO true in very many cases, even today.

I belong to Blue Star Mothers. My eldest son has been in the Air Force for the past 21 years. Some of the stories he's able to tell me absolutely break my heart, I'm not sure I could take the ones he isn't able to, or can't tell me.

We may never know what our men have gone through, by orders or just trying to survive, in protecting us and our rights as free citizens.

I think your story may help bring some light to some that are unaware of how many men and women there are that silently suffer in their own minds with PTSD.

I believe with B by E's side they WILL work through this together!

No way would Edward have done anything wrong. I can imagine him taking the blame for someone else, or doing it to protect someone.

I hope Jasper turns out to be an ally and not the threat he is perceived to be at the moment. That said, I can't imagine Alice marrying someone who would hurt her brother in any way.

I wonder if Bella is thinking that he might go back to his family now that they know about him.

I happened across your story tonight looking at the most recents.  I have to say I am only one chapter in and I'm completely transfixed by your lonely and enigmatic Edward who is undoubtedly a war vet and possibly a widow?  And the gentle soul that takes him in when it seemed all hope was lost.  Despite what our society would have you believe of people they are not all capable of evil and I suspect Edward is capable of great good.  I am so happy to catch this story as it is one of the more original I have seen in a while and the characters are simple enough to understand and complex enough to keep you searching their souls.  Thanks for your bravery in placing this story in the hands of others to critic and love.  Working in a creative field myself I know how hard it is because while you bear the souls of your characters it opens you up to all kinds of critics (good, bad and otherwise).  Great story, and great writing style.  LOVE it.

This is a great story I just hope he can get his act together he's not bad but he needs to consut Bella before he trys to run off again they need him .he's going to be a father and he shouldn't be judjed until alll the facts are known Edward is a good man

I understand where Edward is coming from.  PTSD is controllable if that person seeks professional help, but if not, they could hurt anyone around them, including the ones they love.  I hope that Edward gets better and man, he needs to stop trying to leave Bella...she's only going to take so much of his crap!

Can't wait for more :) I'm rereading on here just cause i enjoyed it so much :)
