If you tax businesses constantly and repititiously, soon you have NO business to tax for those wondrous programs that require constant influxes of money since they can't or won't attempt to support themselves in any way, shape or form.  Without a healthy business community to steal, I mean "tax", you would soon have NO businesses, NO jobs and NO "programs". Just people without jobs!

Oh, I cant resist this. Do you know what my Bella will be reading in one of the next chapters of the sequel? Science Fiction and down with the classics! The first book ever  - an anthology  - had been published in 1943 (Before that date ony  magazines like Pulp or others featured sci fi stories) and she is enthralled ...

Too short :(

Author's Response:

Aw, I'm sorry you thought so!  It's just a little one-shot exercise, but I liked how it turned out so I thought I'd post it here with my other writing.

Thank you for reading it!

I love this little tidbit of political glory. Please, continue it.

I'd love to see what SenateWard will do with Bella... and her opinions, of course. ;)

Author's Response:

Thank you!  Not sure yet if I'll continue it, but that's always possible.  I'm sure if I do, Edward will soften his conservative stance a lot, because that's how I roll.  *grin*

And thank you for leaving a review.

Can we have more please? I liked it too much to think it's going to end here and just like that.

Please turn it into a story or add a few chapters so we can see what's going to happen next!!!

Author's Response:

I'm so glad you liked it!  Maybe at some point I'll turn it into a multi-chapter story.  I'll be looking for something else to write after I finish my current WIP.

I'm happy you found this! Thank you for reading and reviewing.

If the connection deepens, I am sure he will be a better politician afterwards ...

And finally, finally a Bella who impatient with Emily Bronte. I never liked it, while I have read her sister's Jane Eire many many times. In fact I read it in countless other stories. It is archetypal: Frail but strongwilled heroine goes to work in a secluded place for a mysterious man Love overcomes them but a horrific secret from his past  makes itself felt ... and so on

Author's Response:

I've tried to get through "Wuthering Heights."  I didn't have much success, so I was writing from experience here.  Maybe now that I'm older, I can make it through.  In the meantime, I've started "Jane Eyre."  It's always a challenge, when I have free time: do I want to use it to read or to write?

It was very difficult for me to write a conservative Edward.  But I guess that's a writer's challenge, to go outside their comfort zone.

Thank you for leaving a review, and for always being so supportive of my writing.  I'm very glad we're friends.

Your story was more than I expected.  Very concise use of words.

This was a tiny little tresure, full of possibilities.

Author's Response:

Thank you, Victoria. I'm glad you appreciate my brevity; I'm trying to be less wordy!  This was fun to write.
