Again - another solid piece of dramatic storytelling.  I most certainly tip my pen to you - for I'm enjoying this tale very much so.

I would think under the circumstances and everything that the Cullens and the Quielette wolf packs have gone through that common sense will prevail here.  In fact, I seriously can't see how anything less than a civil understanding could be justified.  But then again SM did write that Sam and his pack were going to kill Bella.  Irrational and weak - but oh well.  :-)

Awesome chapter!  Loved it!  You nailed Charlie's reaction perfectly, especially as he interacts with Bella.  Interesting how you always had Bella wearing brown contacts around Charlie - for given he was already part of the "game" sort of speak - the "only need to know" rule, I thought that they might have made it easier for Bella to have Charlie see her with golden eyes instead of constantly wearing contacts.  I mean... he already saw her paler skin and I'm sure touched her enough to know she was ice cold like the rest of the Cullens.  :-)

I loved how once Charlie was dealing with one mind boggling thing, you threw another couple his way in the process.  It was like he was getting bombarded with wierdness - yet still handling things!

I'm anxiously awaiting MORE!  It's exciting now more than ever and have I told you recently how much I appreciate the fact that you are sharing your talent with us?  Awesome!

Actually, either I goofed on something or you missed something.  Not sure.  She never wears contacts around Charlie - this is noted when she goes to lunch at his house and also in this scene when Charlie takes a good look at her eyes and realizes that they're the same color as Damian's.  She only put the contacts in when the cops came.  I'll go reread and make sure.

Lol!  Yes.  That was another one of those scenes I kept going back to because I kept coming up with new things to throw at him!  I wanted to juxtapose his "being a cop", the assumption that he'd seen/experienced a lot of stuff, with the one thing that he'd never experienced, let alone even recognized in front of his face.  I'm sooo glad you liked it.

I'm, um, struggling a bit with the next few chapters.  They're written, but I'm unwilling to say they're finished.  But I'm hoping to send one to the beta this weekend.

I'm tickled pink you're liking this.  Really I am.

I read this pretty much the second it came out.  I apologize for taking forever to respond to it.  First of all - I found it plausible and extremely intense and that is all a reader in this universe can .  :-)

On a serious note, I thought that the Cullens would save Catherine slightly earlier than they did - but with that said, I did predict Catherine would be changed, and of course it is happening as we speak.  Here's another predictions; Charlie will opt to become like Catherine so they can have their happily ever after - which includes Bella and Renesmee.

Still - there is a lot of questions that we need answers on.  Why was Catherine targetted?  My guess is that the Volturi somehow saw an incredible gift inside her human body.  How, I don't know.  I'm sure Edward was able to read some things from Damien before they destroyed him, but I'll anxiously await next chapter or two to find out what exactly.

And finally, despite my "get to the punch line already" frustration, I really did enjoy this tale and didn't for a moment feel cheated in any way.  I'm not sure how much more to this story you have to tell - but thank you, for an intriguing tale.  :-)

JRP, may I first and foremost say what a great reviewer you are, and I appreciate the thought and the time you put into each and every one of them.  Don't ever apologize for "taking forever" to give a review.  I would wait weeks if only to know that you'd finally read the chapter.  ;)

Plausibility and intensity are two very good words you give, and I thank you for thinking so.  Just because it seems to work in my head, doesn't always mean it will for others.  While I have two pre-readers on this thing, well, shit happens.  ;)

Re: your predictions.  Granted I can't come right out and say you're correct, it's obvious where Catherine is headed. 

Re:  your questions.  Harken back to the OtherPOV of Ch 1, Chapter 7, and the end of Alice's 2nd vision.  Oracles and visions.  Visions and Oracles.  Why would Aro feel threatened by a mere human?  What in Catherine's past is the clue?  Oh, and yes, I've revealed...part of it.  But I have a few things up my sleeve yet to come.

I'd like to think that love can conquer all, but can it without compromise?  Without...sacrifice?

Just so I don't hear your sigh through my computer screen, I'm pretty sure this is the middle of this saga.  I have a few surprises in mind for the next half.

Still painstakingly slow... but then I saw a simpe few words that gave me HOPE.  "Damain's cloak evaporated..." and I didn't notice him re-cloaking himself, allowing Alice to see him.  Next chapter should be very interesting indeed!

It's only painstaking, JPR, if you don't like build-up, if you don't like the "long slow burn" up to the payoff. Wow, that was one lemon-tastic romp :) Very emotional and HOT. Is it wrong that I feel remotely sorry for Damian who whilst clearly deluded, is madly infatuated by Catherine? It doesn't matter who you are, it's hard to watch someone you want desperately to be with, be with someone else!

Yeah, this was a chapter that I spent a lot of time on.  Getting Bella right, getting the vision right, getting the Cullens right...it was difficult.  The vision took a lot out of me and I had to walk away from the whole thing for a few days.
