When she decided to live in her mind it reminded me of a book I read in my philosophy class written by a Nazi death camp survivor. If I were home I could just pull the book out but I'm at my sister's on vacation. But he learned that as a way to survive the camp-his thoughts were always safe. So, I assume this is why they are trying to break Bella? When will they realize there is no way in? And then I assume they will kill her.

You are doing an excellent job making me feel as miserable as Bella! And that's good writing. I feel so hopeless for her and don't see how anything good will come out of this. Edward is so jaded and uninspired by his life. I can't see anything happening where I would come to like any of the vamps. I just hope Bella holds onto her spirit.

It is a hopeless situation, and it seems as though nothing good will come of it, especially considering that she has to deal with Edward. But Bella is a determined character and if she's going down, she's not going without a fight. I appreciate you reading and always leaving your thoughts!

She is completely freaked and understandably trying her best to survive. I doubt very much Edward cares about her comfort, but I find it interesting that he stopped what he was doing when she started to cry. Great chapter :)

You're right about Edward. He really doesn't care about her comfort at all. He's very impatient with people like that, but there is something he is trying to achieve with Bella. Just keep that in mind. ;)
