I like this story. I like to see Edward happy. His love for Bella is so pure and his protection of her as he tries to build the self-esteem of a six years old and make her feel loved and valuable is wonderful. Update soon.

Loved the treehouse. Such a dream. I'm so curious about what happens. When will Edward have to leave? Or is it Bella who leaves with her Mom? If Bella stays and Edward goes, does he disassemble the treehouse so there's nothing left or can Bella just not find it on her own. Really looking forward to what happens when she grows up and when they separate.

I like where this story is going, however, when it is Bella's POV, the vocabulary is not so mucht he vocabulary of a 5 year old.

You're right about the vocabulary, the written part is the narration by older Bella, but the dialogue is that of Bella when she was 5 (or as well as my 5-year old can converse!).

Author's Response: Cool! I just Googled "Sundays at Tiffany's" - I had never heard of it before. But I see that my story is similar, with a vampire twist. The idea for my story just popped in my head while I was listening to "This Dance" by Five for Fighting (the basis for Chapter 3 - yes I know I haven't posted chapter 3 yet and I'm spoiling it!).
I've also been told that there are some similarities to "The Time Traveller's Wife", which I haven't seen yet either. Looks like I have some reading and movie watching to do!

I love the idea of Edward as a guardian. He's always had that part in him towards Bella, of course, but it takes on a different dimension at her present young age. Funny enough, I think you DO have a way with words! Looking forward to reading what happens next! :o)

OMG! Found your story on the "most recent" list on Twilighted, and I'm so glad I did. I love the premise. It kind of reminds me of the Time Traveler's Wife, but in a Twilight sense. I think it's really well written, and Edward is so sweet. I like the little nuances you have included, especially the tingling feeling of electricity between them even now and the fact that he can't read her mind. Thus far, I think this story is very sweet, and I look forward to where you take it. Thank you for writing! :o)
