Edward should have a degree in guilt. He's very good at it.  After finding out what was in James' closet he has to know his actions were inevitable.   He needs to talk to someone about this before it eats at him too long.

Author's Response:

Hi kng!

Still playing catch up on last chapter.

Yoou're right. Edward excels at guilt. He is an accomplished Guiltologist. You'd think he would know that James was spiraling out of control. Well...others will realize it, hopefully they'll talk to him and he'll get himself in gear and be back to his normal old, adorkably sexy self.

Thanks for the review. Hope you enjoy chapter 66.

James is even more sick than what I thought he was.  I don't think it would matter if Edward called James or not.  Things would have escalated eventally.

Author's Response:

James wasn't just going a little crazy...he was around the bend on a runaway freight train. Your take on the James situation is right. Edwasrd just doesn't realize that. Yet. Hopefully he will.

Thanks for the review.

Oh Bannerday - I can honestly say that there is nothing that requires further elaboration.  You have done a remarkable job and after 65 chapters I think that you managed to capture it all.  And beautifully I might add.

If I was allowed to naviagate this story, I would love to see that picture window that you have weaved throughout -  5 perhaps 10 years down the road.

I will leave that up to you because, you never fail.

As always, loved the chapter and can't wait to read the next chapter.  So sorry to see these two come to an end.  **tear**

Author's Response:

Hi ELLC!

Thank you for your kind words. I'm sure I will include a peek into their futures. It's too fun to contemplate; I couldn't leave that alone. It's funny that you used the term "picture window"...you'll have to remember that when I get to the epilogue and the other stuff.

Thanks for putting your faith in me. Thanks for the Chapterlove. Thanks for the review once again.

Actually I am kind of wondering about the Tanya story line why the fighting and screaming and the drinking and him finding her but notreally finding her dreams.  Maybe an out take on the funeral and his senior year the withdraw I am interested to see how he became th eass hat he was before Bella.  Right now he needs to take himself off that pedastol because this wasn't his fault maybe angering James was and yes it was dumb but bellas accident wasn't his fault it was James and he has to see that he saved her and not lost her...  Great story I love how emotionally invested I have become in your characters!   I hope James doesn't escape from Jail that would be an interesting twist too...   <3  Post again soon

Author's Response:

Hi ssst!

I like the idea of delving into the Tanya story a little bit too, only because it is Edward's history. His withdrawal was not so much to be an asshat, just that he was afraid to get close, so avoided it at all costs. You are right about him--he needs to realize that this wasn't his fault. There will be a few pieces of information that will help him to see that.

I'm so glad you have enjoyed this story so much and that you have become emotionally invested in the characters. James escaping from jail would be the way to go if I wrote a sequel---but that's not happening. ;)

Hope you like chapter 66 if you haven't yet read it.

oh, i hope edward feels better soon! he saved bella...i am sure she will get that through to him once she knows how he is feeling

Author's Response:

Hi songii!

Poor Edward...he's got to get this figured out quickly. The best thing would be for him to open up...but does he do that in these situations? Nope. Someone(s) needs to get through to that boy quickly.

Thanks for the review. Hope you enjoy chapter 66 if you haven't yet read it.

Let me guess...Edward is Catholic.  :)

Author's Response:

Oh valentina, that was hysterical. I read your comment days ago and I've laughed about it several times since. I'm not Catholic, but my hubs side of the family is. Too funny. Edward sure seems Catholic. Hopefully he'll get his Protestant on in the next chapter. ;)

Reviewer: lbritt (Signed) · Date: January 10, 2011 12:15 PM · On: Chapter 65: Post Traumatic Stalker Disorder

that was quite a chapter.  i am so used to your chapters being lighter with maybe some angst or drama sprinkled, but that whole chapter was one big punch in the gut.  From Bella being cut and hospitalized to Edward having a panic attack then having to call Bella's dad, hear about what Laurant found and having that horrific nightmare. Poor Edward he had quite a day/night and needs someone to hold him.  Speaking of what Laurant found, the photos through Bella's window was so freaky. you could do a side shot of James outside her window would be great that leads into him makng the photo shrine in his closet

Another outtake i would like to read is some of Edward's and Tanya's relationship in high school, from happy times to when she would have breakdowns and how he handle them.

Other than that, you are pretty could at given us most the details through out the story.  I am pretty satisfied wtih the Jacob/Bella relationship and I don't need to know about his and Nessie,  However some of Alice and Jasper bohemian relationship might me fun.

okay this 'review' if you want to call it that is long enough. great chapter and i could feel edward's despair throughout.

Author's Response:

Hi lbritt!

That last chapter (65) was an emotional ride, wasn't it? Edward really went through the wringer. Bella, though hurt, was at least numb to what was going on. Edward had so much to deal with. But at least he has a good support system. The only thing is, he doesn't know that he needs that support. Hopefully he'll figure it out soon. Or else someon(s) else will figure out that he needs a kick in the butt. LOL

You are the second person who has requested a James the Lurker Sideshot. That's just creepy. I was creeped out enough being in his head when he went to the dorm...I'm not sure I could do the voyeur outtake.

I do like the idea of a peek into younger Edward and Tanya's relationship while they were in high school. I feel the same way you do about Jacob and Nessie...I don't need more about them either. LOL But the gang...they should be delved into a little. ;)

Thanks for the review and the good outtake ideas. And keep good thoughts for poor, despairing Edward. ;)

That was a very emotional chapter... I understand to an extent how Edward is feeling... well, kinda... my best friend killed himself when we were in 10th grade and hind-sight is always 20/20 ya know... I saw so many signs leading to it... but only after the fact... it was very sad and tramatic for all of his close friends... he truly didn't know how loved he really was... once again a great chapter... I am looking forward to the next chapter but Im sad that the story is ending soon :(

Author's Response:

Hi Dijah,

That WAS a very emotional chapter. I'm sorry to hear about your own personal experience with teen suicide. I'm a high school teacher and I've known a few students who committed or attempted suicide. It's always such a shock, and you always feel that it is such a waste. I always wonder what might have been, you know? I think you hit the nail on the head when you said that your friend didn't know how loved he really was--you feel like the love should be able to pull them out of it and help to get them to a safer, happier place.

Hope you enjoy chapter 66...if you haven't already read it. I posted it today and can't remember who has read and who hasn't.

Thank you for the review.

Poor Edward.  He has to know that this wasn't his fault.  James was just a sick, sick guy, and he would have done what he did regardless of what Edward said or didn't say.  I'm glad that Bella is okay, though....too bad Edward isn't.  Hopefully, he will straighten himself out soon enough so that it won't tear them apart.

Author's Response:

Hi sek!

I'm still slowly making my way through last chapter. I know you've already read the newest, so I'll get to that too. James was a sick-o. And Edward should know this wasn't his fault, but he's Edward, after all...what can we expect? Just don't expect a total New Moon disappearing act! LOL

Thanks for the review.

Just Wow Bannerday,

I just wasn't expecting THAT!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn that poor boy!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now all that angst!!!!!!!!!!!!! jeez!!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully in the next chappie Bella snaps him out of that!!!!!!!! then all those pictures, god what a freak James is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ok and on that note I would really like to see an outtake with JamesPOV of him taking the pictures!!!!!!!! Yeah Yeah I know that makes me a freak too...but You already knew that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rackin up the boink points girl!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have lost count of how many!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got to pimp out Owenic's new one-shot Chasing the Fire it is AH and fabulous thought you might take a look!!!!!!!!

Laters, bb

Twi-Ho

Author's Response:

Hi Ho!

Playing catch-up once again. That poor, silly, angst-lovin' boy!!!! He needs a kick in the butt and then maybe a cuddle, and if he's not paying too much attention (and as long as Bella isn't in the room) maybe I'll try to slip him the tongue. LOL All those pictures...James is one wacked-out, out-there wack job. An outtake of James taking the photos??? I'm not sure I can go there...the James POV I wrote was evil enough. You're a strange little Ho! ;)

Haven't had a chance to check out Chasing the Fire, but I will. I've read something else by Owenic and remember enjoying it. Don't remember what it was...I don't save my faves.

Thanks for the review and the boink points.

james was going to do something no matter what! it wasn't his fault! maybe some couseling could help him?

Author's Response:

Yes, delilah! You know James would have pulled somthing, I know it, Bella knows it, every character in the story knows it...except Edward...he thinks it's his fault and his fault alone. Poor Silly boy. He needs a cuddle and a kick in the butt. And then maybe one more cuddle after that. LOL

Thanks for the review.

Goodness me! Wonderful. Sad to know that this will be ending soon :( But enjoyed it soo much. Wonderful story. :) Hopefully Edward wont turn in on himself because of what James did to Bella. Wasnt his fault and I hope Bella sees this and calls Edward out on it. Oh Angstward. Lol!

Loved it and Love you!!!

Kate:D

Author's Response:

Hi Kate!

I'm glad you have enjoyed my story so much. I have really enjnoyed your reviews! Edward will be Edward...but somehow, someone or someone(s) will get through to him, I'm sure of it. :) I don't think it's possible to write an Edward without some angst.

Thanks for the Storylove and Authorlove.

That was amazing as always.  You did a great job on a chapter that I bet was pretty hard to write.  I was pretty creeped out to find out about all the pictures James had in his closet... let alone the ones he took of them in bed...  He deserves a very long haul in jail.  As for Edward I really hope he doesn'tblaim his self for too long or revert into him self again and push Bella away... I am looking forward to them dealing with this together.

But the sad part is that this story is coming to an end... I will truly miss these two and your writing.  Hope to see more stories from you in the future.  Thanks again for sharing.

Author's Response:

Hi Cina!

I'm slow...so what else is new? Glad you liked chapter 65. It was hard to write such an upsetting chapter. I was upset for Edward and it was all my doing. LOL Yes...James was one creepy, screwed up dude. He will spend some quality time behind bars. Edward will be Edward...there's no avoiding it...but rest assured, I won't let him pull a complete New Moon.

I will definitely write another story after this one. I've got an interesting idea stewing in my brain already.

Thanks for your kind words, as always.

Author's Response:

Hi glockgirl!

I think you'll like where the story picks up...and then yo9u may need that mantra-chanting-activity I alluded to last chapter. I think James will be in some pain for a while. ;) Big Baller Edward!---Baseballer that is. ;)

the story is coming to an end? T_T gonna miss it!! and thx for the James POV @ previous chapter & thx also for indicated that i plant the idea for James POV.. such an honour ^_^ i didn't realized it last time... *blush* my fault... =P

i can imagine how scary E was, having 2 separates scary incidents on the same date... *goose bump*

Author's Response:

Hi noni!

Yes, the story is winding down at long last---I know I said that about 15 chapters ago, but then I can never seem to get the count quite right. The James POV, which you gave me the idea for, was a big hit. I got so many great reviews from readers who loved taking the look inside James' head to see what kind of perverted, crazy crap was going on there. I'm really glad I wrote it and I don't know if I would have done that if you hadn't mentioned it. So thanks once again!

Edward did go through a lot that day, and apparently he should just go into hiding when October 5th rolls around from here on out.

Thanks for the review.

Poor Angstward. He really takes it hard. Bella can pull him out of it, right? Poor, poor sweet boy!

Author's Response:

Poor Angstward...he needs a hug and maybe some "pancakes," but he probably doesn't think he deserves any "mor 5 ek," right? I'd say Bella, Alice, Emmett, Jasper and even Rose to a lesser degree, have their work cut out for them. Shoot...I may even have to get Carlisle and Esme involved in this one. :)

Thanks for reviewing.

Yet another great chapter...no surprise there!  Thank you for sharing, and I am glad that Bella is okay...But I had confindence in you from the get go!

Author's Response:

Hi Kasi!

Thanks for the compliment once again. And I couldn't let happy-go-lucky-post-sexy-bliss-Bella get too injured. It had to be relatively quickly fixable. Thanks for being confident that I wouldn't let you down---see how well that mantra thing works? "Bannerday believes in a HEA"

Reviewer: dupak (Signed) · Date: January 10, 2011 07:19 AM · On: Chapter 65: Post Traumatic Stalker Disorder

I thought this chapter was done really well.  The aftermath is always tough because if it's too serious it feels like nothing's been resolved, and too little means the danger wasn't as substantial as it felt.  This was right for the situation with James.

Thank you for the update - I'll be interested to see how Edward handleds things moving forward.  I can't decide if I'm expecting him to kind of hover until he decides he's not good enough for anyone and take off, or if he's going to drop to his knees and propose the second Bella gets out of the hospital.  Which is good, because I think that reflects his emotional and mental instability right now.

Author's Response:

Hi dupak!

Thanks for the praise---it was kind of hard to write this. I've never experienced anything like this---never had the paramedics show up, never fainted, so I'm inventing a lot, based on reasearch and years of watching TV. LOL Plus, having the whole gang there---I had to keep their personalities in mind and how they might have reacted both at the scene of the attack and then at the hospital. Plus all the police/hospital stuff---it got a little daunting, so I'm glad if you feel that it came off all right. And the other thing, is that the gang kind of has to tread on eggshells with edward, because of his history. I think Emmett and Alice as his siblings are obviously aware of it, but Rose and Jasper know his histlry as well...so I would think they know how Edward is. Glad you approved of the situation with James. :)

You have got emotionally unstable Edward pegged---we all know how his mind works and we know that he'll be overly-analytical, right? But I'm not giving anything away just yet.

Thanks for the review.

Honestly I thought it was Edward who had been stabbed after the scream he let out. I'm glad Bella is going to b ok. Poor Edward though blaming himself. What he needs to realize is James wouldve done this anyway because let's face it he's a fucking loon. It just happened a little quicker and could have turned out way worse. I hope Edward doesn't run cause that would just suck. I hope he goes to counseling for this.

Author's Response:

No, Edward was uninjured. He managed to jump out of the way of the knife and avoid it--once because Bella warned him that James had the knife and then when she grabbed James' arm, allowing Edward to grab him and swing him against the side of Tyler's van. The wail was just in anguish that Bella had been harmed and then his little mind ran away with thoughts of her dying. You are right about James...obviiously this was escalating rapidly. And you are right...it could have been worse. Counseling is probably a smart idea for both B & E---they were both victims in this crime.

Thanks for the review.

so is Edward going to come clean about the phone call or is he going to try to ignore it & let it blow up in his face?

Author's Response:

Hi twimom!

I had to laugh at your review. You know Edward so well...we all do...you know how this is going to play out, don't you? I think if you look inside your heart and inside canon Edward's head you know exactly how this will play out...he IS Edward after all.  ;)  But remember the mantra: "Bannerday believes in a HEA"
