Author's Response: Edward's resolve is so flimsy. All it took was the right girl. Unfortunately, she's someone else's girl. But that won't last. She'll catch up! No Jake yet--it'll take a little while to get to the weekend.

I see things are coming along... well on Edward's part. Loyal Bella needs to realize that just because you've been with someone for so long doesn't exactly mean they're the one... I should know. I think I may have a Jacob on my hands :/ *sigh* which is why I do feel bad for the guy!
P.S. In such a short time, I've become so attached to your characters. That's how you know you've created something great here! Great chapter!

Author's Response: Nothing says SEX like Sweatward! Mmm mmm good! And yes, Edward's coming along, but that's just for now. Then he'll get all noble and hold back, then Bella will do something ridiculous, like fall out of bed into his arms, etc. etc. etc. But Bella will come around--Jake just has to prove himself to be too immature. And he will. Have faith. (I'm sorry about your Jacob situation--there may be an Edward out there for you, though, and maybe you won't know it while you are caught up in the Jacob phase...) Readers are rabid about getting rid of Jacob, but I think when that chapter comes,. they will be sad for Jacob--it's not an easy thing to put that out to pasture. Been there, done that. :(
I'm so glad you are so attached to my characters. You will only feel moreso as time goes on. They are like my friends.I think they'll be yours too.

Everytime I look at my lovely banner, all I can think of is "Let the fun begin..."--You really hit the nail on the head with that little phrase. That sums up this story so well.

Holy Freakin Hale...Edward honey I hate to tell you this but..well...Ok your FUCKED! LOL...it is rather humorous to see him come unglued though. I am so excited that the girls are moved in, and I am vibrating with excitement in the fact that they still have to go out and celebrate.
Oh random thought...it just occured to me that you mentioned Bella's bed is under the window...snicker...would our dear Edward get to take advantage of that fact later on...wink...I hope so.
Author's Response: Is that Holy Freakin' Rosalie Hale? Edward has certainly stuck his foot in a bucket of fuck. (Hey, I really like that line, and I can imagine Edward spewing it. If I use it in my story, remember you read it here first. ;) ) I just love Edward spiraling out of control--he's usually so in-control, it's hilarious how upset it gets him.
The evening out will be quite enlightening. It will certainly feature Bella and Edward dressing up for a date that they're not on.
Now, as for windows: Windows are important, whether you are reading Twilight or The Transfer. Just sayin'
Up next: Anxiety, featuring Angstward and Blurting Bella, but it's all good.

Author's Response: Hi there Achilles! Rest assured, Jake will be a knob even before he gets to Bella's school. But be warned, you will feel bad for himat some point.
Now then, Bella and Edward will get to out together, with the others, of course, they still have to celerate the move-in.
However, that's not coming in the next chapter. The next chapter will feature more anxiety with our two favorites: Anstward, trying to run away, and Blurting Bella, who will say something she probably shouldn't. Okay, I've said too much. So will Bella.

However, I'm going to be getting to the good stuff reeeeeaaaaalllllyyyy slowly, because there will be angst and dilemmas and confusion, but there will also be a sprinkling of good stuff. And in the end, I will make it very, very, very, very worth your while. And Bella's while. And Edward's while. Repeatedly. In various locations.

Well we can cut this sexual tension with a big sharp knife! I can barely stand it and I'm not dealing with lingerie and bed making. Crazy times for these two! I love Alice's idea for the dorm- lounge area and twinkle lights, so cute! I remember putting our beds up on cinder blocks. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Author's Response: Edward is coming to his senses, but he knows that Bella is taken. He's noble and he doesn't want to hurt her--remember that he sees himself as her protector--a protector isn't going to want to upset/hurt the object of his protection. But yes, of course there will be more E/B time in the future--that's what this whole book is about;)

Okay so I had to start rading this today. And I really enjoy it. It's actually taking me back to my freshman year of college 9 years ago to when I met my now husband. And I just really need Jake out the picture so these to could explore other options. I mean really it didn't take me this long to get rid of my long-distance boyfriend. **sigh** I really need to learn patience but for now can't we just pretend that the distance is too much for Jake so Edward can be her shoulder to cry on.
Author's Response: Hey QuiQui Glad you are enjoying The Transfer. Writing this took me back to my college years--some of this is autobiographical: I roomed with a Victoria, I was dating a Jake, an Edward helped me with my move and took me into his fold with his friends, I broke up with my Jake, I began rooming with my Alice after 1 semester, my Alice and I decoratd our room like the one in this story.
So....Jake will be gone at some point, we just have to wait for Bella to decide on when. Other options will be explored. Believe me. Keep in mind, in this story Bella has only lived in the dorm for 1 week and the first day didn't count because Edward was extra cranky , as was Bella.
Keep in mind, Bella is loyal, she also isn't very ruled by whimsy, she's pretty set in her ways and slow to act.
But hang in there. I will make it all worth your while. I promise.

I like to think of this little dance they do as the Transfer Tango: One of them says/does something that will make the other uncomfortable, then things get smoothed over, until the other one does/says something to make the first one uncomfortable.
