It was so nice for Charlie to see his errors in how he encouraged Jacob to pursue his daughter and how he realized that he should have treated Edward better. I really loved his apology to Edward and Bella.
My favorite scene was Charlie and Edward's separate reactions to Billy accusing Bella of lying about Jacob raping her. I loved that Edward picked Billy up out of that chair and that it took Bella asking for him to put him back down. It was also great that Edward returned the saved heart pendant to Bella and gave a new bracelet. I hope they catch Jacob soon so she can be safe and heal.
Author's Response: Glad you loved Charlie's apology. It's nice that at least some good things come out of something horrible (Charlie and Edward's relationship improving).

Oh, evil!! Evil, evil cliffhanger!! Haha, I love it. Another great chapter - I love the direction you took it. I like that you aren't just rushing things for the sake of it. As I said last time, your pacing has been great. But now I am DYING for the next update, not just to find out what the call was about but b/c we're going to get to see Bella open up to Edward! I can't wait...but of course I will b/c I can't write so I have no choice. Haha. Spare us from the waiting torture as soon as you can :-)

Played out nicely... I love the level of sisterly love coming from Alice and I especially love the real feelings Rosalie is showing Bella. I'll admit... I didn't expect the phone call. I mean, I knew it was Jacob as soon as she picked it up, but it was certainly a twist - given I really did expect the confrontation between Edward and Jacob. Good thing it didn't happen, given how Emmett proved how really pathetic Edward was at that particular point in time.
Edward's not going to want to leave Bella's side for any reason now... I just hope that Rosalie gave Jacob a piece of her mind when she snatched the phone away from Bella (at least that's how I've assumed it went down.)
Jacob is going down - and thanks to Emmett's wake-up call, Edward is more than ready for him.

Yeah, I know it wasn't what most people were expecting, but we will get to see a face-to-face Jacob confrontation eventually.
Very true--he certainly won't want to leave her for anything now. You'll have to see what happens in the next chapter, but Rosalie is certainly VERY angry by the phone call.
Yes Jacob will certainly be going down. Edward is very ready for him now.

I think it's briiant having Jacob call, althouggh he his somewhat dense to think that none of the Cullens would recognize his voice, or hear his threat to Bella.

That being said...again I was bouncing when I saw the update!!! I'm glad that you made Bella have a bit of fun with Alice and Rosalie!!! Yes, thanks to so much motivation from the reviews for the last chapter, I finished this chapter sooner than I expected, and then my beta was faster than usual at validating (it depends on how busy she is). I'm glad you liked the cooking scene. I thought it would be good to have something a bit lighter :-)

Oh I love Alice...she is exactly what Bella needed. I'm glad that Edward got some of his anger out and it is great to see Emmett be the helpful big brother. I can't wait to see what you have planned next and I can't wait for you to clue us into why Jacob called Bella.

Thanks for the chapter. I loved the Alice/Rose/Bella cooking interaction. It was light. Bella needed that. Jacob has to mess up everything though. Mean cliffy writer didn't tell us what he said to her though. hehehe Updae soon. :)

The main characters in your story are so in keeping with the Twilight Saga it is really amazing. This is exactly how I would expect Edward, Charlie and the Cullens to behave if Bella was ever harmed.

I loved the baking scene, so funny, so Alice! I really glad you are writing this story with a realistic time frame, there is no way Bella would have got over what happened by now so its great things are progressing slowly. Excellent chapter, two thumbs up!
