Stupid Edward. Hasn't he been around long enough to realize that you NEVER say "What's the worst that could happen???"

I would love to see Renee find about Edward and the Cullens being vampires. I dont know of any stories out there where she does. She seems so open minded in your story and loving of Edward. It would be good! I didnt get into your story until just about a week ago, I had it on my favorites and had read the beginning but for some reason just didnt continue. Not sure why, anyway looking forward to your updates. Good luck on your thesis. Shorter chapters for quicker updates would work well and probably keep your readers more interested and happy. I know for me I follow many different stories at the same time and when they dont update for quite a while I tend to forget what happend in which one. LOL. Thanks, Karen
Author's Response: Yes, I was thinking it might be neat to have Renee find out as well and I gave it lots of thought, but in the end I have decided against this because I fear it would complicate things too much and take away from the main focus of the story. I will be mentioning this in the author's note of the next chapter.
Well, I'm sooo glad you found my story again! The next chapter should be up very soon! It's almost ready to be submitted to my validation beta! Thanks again for reviewing chapters as you read. You are awesome!

Very intense chapter! I am glad Jacob is finally gone! Now Edward and Bella can start healing together. Would love to see some really caring time between the two. Happier times!!! Please dont get to far off with the other characters. Kinda takes away from the center of the story. Edward and Bellas love for each other. Good luck in your Masters Degree! You have a gift in your writing. Thank you for sharing it with us....Karen

Author's Response: Hey Karen! Again, I apologize for my late responses. Don't worry, the focus will always be on Edward and Bella. I often struggle to fit in the other characters because I love writing E/B too much, lol. So no worries there! And I promise those happier times are coming! Thank YOU so much for your kind words!

OMG what a cliffy! I am glad the next chapter is already posted. LOL! I would hate to have had to wait!!! I am on to the next! You could feel the fear in your writing! Edward is scared for Bella and I think worried he may not be able to protect her on his own against Jacob and who ever is with him. Bellla is no help to herself! Ok, on the the next!.... thank you for this!!!

Good Chapter. I think Bella learning self defense is a good idea. Even though like Edward said it is probably not needed, at least it gives her a sense of something and she dosent feel as useless. Looking forwward to the next chapter...karen

I was sad when the charm went down the drain, I do hope they get it out. Edward crushing the bracelett... thats was good! I am not a Rose fan, she was truly trying to help Bella though. Looking forward to reading some more later today. How often do you update?
Author's Response: Don't worry, they will get it out! It would be awful to leave it where it is, since it's such a priceless heirloom! I didn't like SM's Rose. She was just a bitch. I'm trying to develop her into a nicer character in my story, lol. As for how often I update, unfortunately, right now my updates are slow because I'm at the end of my Master's degree and my thesis is consuming me. BUT, I promise that even though updates may be slow, I WILL finish the story. It just may take me some time.
Thank you so much for reading and reviewing as you read! It puts a smile on my face every time I get to read a new review! :-)

I was reading this on twcs, then I looked at your page on there and noticed that you had it here as well..=) so now, I know what happened..are you going to update this site soon? or wait 'til you have caught up on twcs? love this story, it's different. Was not expecting Tanya... I keep wondering if since Bella does indeed want to have sex before she's changed, if she'll still get pregnant..? can't wait for the next update!
Author's Response: Hi there! Well, thank you for finding me over here! I was wondering if anyone would notice that I posted the link to my story over here, where there are more chapters. I'm so happy you're enjoying! Unfortunately, the next chapter won't be done for at least a couple weeks, since I only have time to write a small amount at a time. But when I do finish it, it will post on this site first. I always wait for the chapter to be validated here first, and then as soon as it is validated, i post it on the other sites. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing! It means a lot to me!

I was very happy to see that you had updated! As always, it was a gut wrenchingly fabulous chapter! I loved when Charlie said he would ignore what Edward said as the chief of police but agreed with him being Bella's father. This is fantastic!
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked Charlie's line. I thought it was an important one! Sorry for my late reply, btw. But I wanted to thank you very much for your review!

When will there be an update?! I hate to pressure you, but I love this story and I check it daily, and the waits can sometimes just be agonizing. I love it so much, your writing is fabulous.
Also, on the subject of Renee, I am definitely on the side of her not finding out, just because I think it would make things too complicated. Also, I'm just a big person on sticking to the original story.
You're doing a great job, keep it up!
Author's Response: So sorry I took so long to respond! In any case, if I'd answered sooner I wouldn't have been able to give you an accurate answer of when the next update will be. The good news is that the next chapter is almost ready. I should be able to submit it to twilighted this weekend, and then it will be up once it's validated. Thank you so much for your kind words. They mean so much to me and I'm so happy you're really enjoying my story!
Thank you for giving me your opinion on Renee. I've given it a lot of thought and I completely agree with you. In fact, you pretty much nailed my feeling on it because I've been saying in many of my review replies that I decided to NOT have Renee (or Charlie) find out because I feel in may complicate things too much and take away from the main focus of the story. I will also be mentioning this in the Author's note of the next chapter.
Thanks again!

Hope you had a Merry Christmas as well and happy New Year! Well, that was great, as always!! This is MY Edward - strong, decisive and dealing with the issues as they come. Not shrinking away into a pile of nothing as he was written in Breaking Dawn!
As far as Renee finding out about vampires, I am on the fence but leaning toward her not finding out because then they will all have to worry about the Volturi and "the main law".
In all seriousness, as much as I would like to be selfish, your thesis comes first. I assisted a colleague years ago and it was a huge ordeal. I cried many days and it wasn't even mine but I sure felt like it.
I'm here for you, thinking of you and know you will do well because you write beautifully. Place a picture of Edward beside your computer screen! Hugs and more hugs!!!
Author's Response: I'm so sorry for my slow responses. Things have been hectic! And once again you have me smiling through the stress of my thesis writing. I tell you, your kind words are better than a picture of Edward beside my computer (though I have one by my desk and now I'm grinning every time I look at it, LOL).
I love how you put it --shrinking into a pile of nothing in BD. SOO true. I was disappointed by how he was written in BD from the point that he found out Bella was pregnant and onward. And I totally HATED that part of it was written from Jacob's POV! I'm so happy you like my Edward here! :-)
Thanks for your input on Renee, and I agree that's a big issue with having her find out. I have decided NOT to have Renee (or Charlie) find out about the vamps for various reasons, the main one being that I fear it will complicate things too much and take away from the main focus of the story. I will be mentioning this in the author's note of the next chapter, which by the way is pretty much finished. YAY! I just need to do some editing, and then it will be ready to submit to my validation beta.
Thanks so much again! xoxxoxo

Author's Response: Of course I did! All your encouraging reviews were what helped picked me up and get me writing this chapter through all my stress. It most certainly would have taken me even longer to complete without all your encouragement! Big Emmett sized hugs!

I love your story and i would love for you to marry them off and have a happy ending looking forward to it and why not have rene find out about vampires she might be like bella and except it that would be neat cannot wait for your next one
Author's Response: Hi there! I apologize for my late reply. Things are hectic. But I wanted to thank so much for reviewing. I'm so glad you're enjoying! And I definitely plan to take this story to the wedding and honeymoon. The next chapter is almost done and should be up within a week or so.

I finally finally had a chance to sit down and read this!! Things got super hectic and let me tell you, it has been TORTURE trying to hold out until I had time to sit down and enjoy it, but I told myself it would be worth it. And it WAS.
My poor Edward. They have a ways to go yet, but now they can really start to heal. I agree with you that it would have been wrong to have Jacob die and then miraculously everything's perfect. It's a process. I really applaud your patience with this story - you let it unfold which is so unusual in fanfiction (which I guess I can understnad b/c once you have the power to play w/ these characters, it's hard not to just get to the outcome you want, haha). But you're a real writer. I love it!
I can't wait until the next chapter when we get to see Edward's POV. If it takes you a year to write this, I will happily (though impatiently, I'll admit) wait. You give me my Edward fix (the way Edward should be), lol. So please please keep writing!!
Hope the real world gets a little easier so you can come play in the twilight world :-)
P.S. - I love the new trailer! I was watching it and I said to my husband, "seriously, this girl shares my soul when it comes to Edward." haha. He mocked me about that, but I don't care - it's true. I can tell you're a kindred spirit!
Author's Response: I'm sooooo sorry for my late reply! I definitely know where you're coming from with things being hectic! There's that, and then another reason I took so long to respond is I'm always at a loss of how to thank you for your kind words. Seriously, if I could reach through the computer screen and give you a hug, I would! :-)
Ah, I know! Poor, poor Edward! I feel so bad for him! Especially as I've been writing the next chapter. Ah, thank you again for your kind words. I'm so glad you agree with the pace and that it will take time to get to the happy ending. Sometimes I worry people will feel things are dragging out. But with this subject it is so important to me to keep it realistic and show the entire healing process.
Well, the good news about replying late is that I can tell you that the next chapter is now almost finished! I hope to have it up within a week or so :-)
And thanks so much for your comment on my new trailer! :-)

Lisa, so happy to see you are continuing your wonderful story! Thank you for finding the time while grappling with your thesis.
I had to feel bad for Charlie, once again searching frantically for Bella in the woods, and finding her in less than pristine condition. But at least this time she was far from alone.
Loved Bella's response to Edward's statement that her bleeding scratch didn't bother him: in that case, hold me! ‘...Because a part of me was still panicking inside, unable to face everything, and I wanted to hide in the comfort of Edward's arms, just for a little while.' Undoubtedly - glad to see she is paying attention to what she feels and needs. Something good that she has learned during these months of trauma and recovery.
Good line from Edward to Sam: "Now I suggest you get out of my sight before I do something-well, I not sure I would actually regret it." I can totally understand why he is so furious with Sam, after protecting Jake like he did.
‘I'd expected my words to assure him, at least somewhat, so I was shocked to see they seemed to have the opposite effect; the haunted look in his eyes...the depth of it...it was unbearable.'
Oh gosh that's heart-clenching. It must be a combination of what Jacob showed him of the first attack, and Edward's usual tendency to feel responsible for not preventing the near-miss this time.
Good insight from Bella that Edward had to feel some regret over killing Tanya, after all the years their families had been close. It can't be as simple as he makes it sound.
Yaay, Renee, once again she steps up with just the right thing to say and do. She seems to have gained a lot of respect for Bella's strength and growing maturity.
After Edward hesitated at the door to her room, then had to catch her when her knee gave out: ‘But I smiled. I now had him where I wanted him.' Charming!
This was quite a tribute from Edward: "Most people would've just fallen apart." He paused. "I did. When I saw Jacob grab you...and I couldn't get to you...I couldn't even think straight. It took everything I had to pull myself together enough to get to you. But you kept yourself together, and you were so brave." It's good for both of them that he could be honest and admit how scared he was.
"He would've killed you instantly. Not even my venom would've been able to save you." Oh, geez. We kind of knew this from the last chapter, but hearing him say it this way was completely chilling ... way too close a call.
I have to shake my head at these two. She's afraid he wants a break from staying with her all the time, he's afraid she wants some space... "Come here, you silly girl" - now that's the right answer. Oh, and it just curled my toes when he called her "baby". Yummm.
"The Jacob that I loved...he died the night he raped me."
So good for her to see this clearly, and be able to say it out loud.
Wow, how nice that Charlie showed concern for Edward. He has certainly earned every bit of Charlie's respect and gratitude over these past weeks.
Yeah, not surprising that Jacob's threat to make Edward watch worked its way into her nightmares. Unfortunately now she has a whole new batch of experiences and thoughts to work through, but at least this time she doesn't feel isolated or like she has to hide.
Sweet to have that extra-special nursing through her flu. And nice to have a visit from the other Cullens.
This was surprising - and terrific: After about a minute he started to pull away. "Charlie's coming," he explained. "I don't care," I told him, tightening my arm around him to prevent him from moving away.' Wow, Bella - way to go!
Re Renee: "Isn't she suspicious?" I asked, irritated by his obvious lack of concern. "Well, I have to admit, her theories are much more creative than yours were." Hilarious - and totally believable! But really - Renee staying with the Cullens? I'm with Bella being worried about that idea - can you imagine the theories she'll come up with after seeing the whole family in action? And won't they all have fun interacting with her.
Gotta love Alice pushing herself between Edward and Bella when she comes to cheer Bella up - who else would have the nerve to do that?
Wow, I didn't see this coming - Edward blaming himself for not only the latest incident but the original rape, because Bella and Jacob wouldn't have gotten close if Edward hadn't left her. That really stopped me in my tracks. So Bella isn't the only one who has serious issues that need healing.
Satisfying chapter - can't wait to see how this develops. And re your A/N, that's an intriguing question whether Renee finds out about the vampires. I was disappointed in BD that they worked out a "don't ask don't tell" policy so Charlie could be in their lives, but Renee was ignored altogether. In a way I think she's better equipped to handle something this strange than down-to-earth Charlie is.
Author's Response: Firstly, a MILLION apologies for taking so long to respond to you! Secondly, you are soooooooo amazing. I am often pouring my heart and soul into writing this story and in means the world to me to read such well thought out reviews where there is such attention to the details. Thank you.
Edward's reaction to Bella's words where he had 'the haunted look in his eyes' was a key thing leading into the next chapter when we get to see the reasoning behind this from Edward's point of view. I'm so happy you noticed this, and you are right--it's a combination of things. Poor Edward is going through a hard time now after see Jacob's mind and being so close to losing Bella.
You always seem to pick out all my favorite and key lines -- makes me smile!
Renee at the Cullen house definitely should be interesting! LOL.
Ah, yes, Edward's guilt is really hitting him in full force now. He was kind of pushing it all away and putting his energy into finding Jacob and keeping Bella safe, but now that Jacob's dead and especially after seeing images of the rape from Jacob's thoughts, he's beating himself up.
I soo agree with you about how SM handled things with Bella's parents after she was changed. I have decided NOT to have Renee (or Charlie) find out about the vampires for various reasons, mainly because I fear it my complicate things too much and take away from the main focus of the story. HOWEVER, I plan to handle things differently than SM did in BD, with respect to Bella's parents. I don't want to give away the story, so I won't say anything more than that.
Thank you again for your amazing review! The next chapter is well on its way to being finished and I hope to have it up in a week or two at most. *HUGS*

I do hope you continue to write this....What a great story! I hate the Jabob-as-a-bad-guy stuff....but the love that heals is out there...waiting. This kind of writing is profound in many ways..... Thanks.
Author's Response: Although updates may be slow, I definitely plan to see this story through to the end! Yes, I know many people don't like that Jacob is the bad guy. I'm definitely an Edward/Bella girl but I don't hate SM's Jake. However, with this story I wanted the villain to be someone Bella trusted because unfortunately that is often the case with rape. I wanted to focus on the healing power of love. I'm glad you're enjoying! Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!
