Hmmm....If Bella isn't at school the next day, do you honestly think that one of the Cullens isn't going to watch out for her?...That would make it very difficult for Jake. Edward may have to go to school to keep up appearances, but there are 4 who don't have anywhere else to be...(and i am ashamed to admit that I forgot that Jasper wasn't at school with her this term..lol). I'm also wondering if it will be one of the pack who goes to Edward to tell him what is going on...if Jacob had phased since then that is...hmmm,.....theoiries abound here..lol (sorry for the separate review...but i hadn't had my morning cup of coffee when i wrote the first one..lol)

lol. No problem with the separate review. I like to hear all your thoughts. Well, don't forget that none of them know what happened yet and Bella is planning on going there willingly. I won't say anymore on that because I don't what to give anything away. You will see what will happen in the next chapter. That's a very important point that many people haven't thought of: IF Jacob has phased yet. Okay, that's all I'm going to say. You have to wait to read more, lol.

You did an amazing job on describing how Bella was feeling when Mike slung his arm around her shoulders...and I'm pleased that you put Edwards point of view in there, describing what everyone saw and he tried to get to Bella....but....Charlie is a cop....why wouldn't he have picked up a bit more?... But then again...he's a father first in that situation...and probably can't see past the fact that something is wrong to get down to what is ACTUALLY wrong.

Thanks! Yes, Charlie is really worried about Bella and he isn't really thinking clearly. He is a cop, but he does only work in a small town so I doubt he actually does have much experience with people in Bella's situation. Thanks for reviewing!

Okay, by the end of this chapter, my tears were falling so hard I could barely see the screen.

When Bella broke down in school, and Edward came for her, I was hoping that this would be the trigger that geot him on the right path to figure out what happened to her.  I was just sure, when he heard Mr. Clark's though, Edward would work it out.  But he hasn't yet.

When Charlie came bursting in on Edward and Bella, I was really hoping that the two of them together would be able to convince her to tell them, but it didn't happen.  Even though he was positive Edward had hurt Bella, I was very glad that Charlie recognized that this wasn't the case.  And as soon as Charlie's thought's changed toward Edward, I was hoping that Charlie would think about Bella coming back from Jacob's house early, and put it together, but he didn't.

I'm thrilled to know that Edward will find out in the next chapter -- and I hope Charlie does as well.  But I'm really hoping that at least Edward finds out before Bella goes to La Push.  I trust that he will, because you have said that nothing as bad as Jacob raping her would happen again in this story, and I think that if she goes to La Push, she won't be able to prevent Jacob from doing it again and that would destroy her.  He's almost destroyed her as it is.

Again, I'm thrilled to know that Edward will shortly be finding out about Jacob, but I am also eager to see the rest of the wolf pack hear Jacob's memories of raping Bella.  Despite the fact that Jacob is the Alpha, I can't imagine that Sam would let Jacob make them attempt to destroy Edward and the Cullens.  And I can't imagine that Sam would allow Jacob to get away with what he has done.

As much as I want Edward to find out, I don't want him to break the treaty and attempt to kill Jacob -- which is what Edward will want to do.  It wouldn't be a good thing for him to end up in jail for murder.  Even though Charlie will likely want to rip Jacob apart himself when he finds out, he is the Chief of Police, and would need to arrest Edward, as much as he wouldn't want to.  I think it's going to be a hard thing for Charlie to believe about Jacob, but at least now Charlie knows Edward didn't hurt Bella.

Thanks for another awesome chapter.  I'm extremely glad that you said that you will post again soon, because I can hardly stand the wait to find out how Edward learns the truth, and what he's going to do.  My hopes are that he will stay with Bella -- as much as I know he will want to go kill Jacob.  Bella is going to need him, and he is going to need her just as much.  Besides, once she lets him know what happened, if he leaves her, she will panic thinking Jacob will kill Edward and his entire family.  After all, that's why she didn't just tell him right off.

The song was perfect.  I love Josh Gorbin too, and the lyrics fit perfectly with Bella's thoughts -- which broke my heart.

Thanks again for this terrific chapter.  I will try hard to be patient while waiting for you to post the next one, though, unfortunately, patience is not a virtue of mine.  :)

lol, it is a very sad story (although it will eventually have a happy ending, but it will be a long story). 

Well, Edward did get closer to figuring it out. And Charlie is so shocked and worried that he wasn't really thinking clearly. Don't worry, you won't see anything anywhere close to as bad as what happened in Chapter 4 to poor Bella.

Wow!   I'm so hooked on this story, and you just had my heart pounding.  I can't wait until Edward finds out.  This is a wonderful story.  I don't mean wonderful cause of the rape theme and all, but it is wonderfully written.  And anything that brings Edward and Bella closer and unleashes Edward's protective side is fine with me.  You are a very talented author.  Thank you for sharing.
