Loved it. I was so glad that Esme got through to Bella.

This is such a difficult subject matter to write about for many.  And I can't imagine the stress and difficulties it was for you to write in such a way.  With that said, I have to say wow.  You truly so write with a great powerful effect.  While this is a hard topic to discuss, you have approached it with grace and humility.  

It is staggering to know that a lot of time those that are rapped are not assaulted by strangers but by those they already trusted.  This is such a true yet disturbing fact.  It happens too often, and I feel for your Bella in this.

I love how the relationship between Edward and Bella is still strong.  He loves her and would do anything for her.  He is trying to deal with his internal anger, which is hard for him.  Esme and Rosalie, I believe, can provide an incredible opportunity for healing once Bella is at that point of trying.  If Rosalie is able to, I believe she could be of great encouragement for Bella.  

I am wondering how Alice feels at this point.  I can't imagine how she feels knowing she couldn't see Bella while she was being hurt and days after.  And I would have never thought of thinking about sperm being the reason that Bella was still unable to be seen by Alice.  I am very thankful that she is not pregnant.  I agree, that would be a lot for her to deal with.

I love the female doctor that you gave Bella.  You could tell she felt for her, but that she tried to be as reassuring as possible.  This can be hard for medical professionals because of their training to sometimes disassociate from the emotions of a situation.

Poor Charlie.  And I am glad that he had the chance to see through the wall he put up between him and Edward and finally SAW the connection between Edward and Bella.  He finally gets it.  He sees the love they share.  I am nervous about what you have in store regarding his and Billy's relationship with this.  I wonder will Billy try to be a friend and help or if he will sulk away and feel guilty for what his son did to Bella. (I would imagine both).  

I think that it is great that you had the pack at know what happened.  It would have been much different I am sure if Jake severed his connection before anyone knew what happened and the wolves thinking there was no merit to what the vampires were saying.  I can't imagine what the pack is going through.  Someone they loved and trusted broke their honor code by hurting s friend of the pack and tribe.  I know they are in pain at this point too.

OK, now my question.  When will Renee find out, or will they not say anything for while until Bella can handle it?  I just don't know how you would handle that situation, but I guess we will find out at some point.

Now, I am unsure what kind of 'resolution' you have for Jake, but I am sure you will do it how you have it pictured.  Personally, I am a fan of slow torture bordering on castration and dismemberment.  But that is me.  I feel there needs to be more harsher punishments for those that sexually assault anyone (male, woman, or child).  

With all that said: Thank you for a truly remarkable story so far.  While it is such a hard topic to discuss, I feel you are doing well with your writing and sensitivity.

That is very true. It is a very difficult subject to read and write. It actually took me some time to work up the courage to post this story, especially since it is my first story. So your kind words mean very much to me. Thank you. 

It is a VERY disturbing fact, and it is all that much more difficult for the victim when it was someone they really trusted. 

I'm so happy you like the Edward and Bella relationship. I really wanted to show how they can get through everything together. And it is very true that it is also very difficult on Edward. Esme and Rosalie are very important in Bella's healing. You will get to see some Bella/Rose bonding in the next chapter.

You will get to see Alice a bit later. :-) Yeah, well I figured that the sperm wouldn't be able to block her visions completely but it makes them blurry so that she can't really see anything. And I definitely didn't want to put poor Bella through getting pregnant as well. Glad you agree!

It's so nice for you to comment on the doctor. You are the only one that has at this point. I tried to give her a really nice female doctor who was better than the police officer in the last chapter. And it is kind of neat because we can see into her head a bit from Edward's POV. I agree that it can be pretty difficult on the medical professionals as well. 

Yes, I wanted Charlie to finally see how much Edward and Bella love each other. Ah, you will get to see a lot of Charlie in the chapter after next (ch16). As well as what is happening between him and Billy. 

Yes, it would have been very bad if Jacob had broken away before the pack got to see what he did. 

Ah, you will have to wait a bit to know what's happening with Renee (I don't want to spoil anything).

Lol, well Jacob would definitely deserve that. But you will have to wait and see what ends up happening to him.

Phew, I'm glad the examination is over. Well, the injuries we thought she had (lacerations) were all there.

LOL, yes I didn't want her to be in that phase long either. Part of the reason why I didn't want to split up the chapter--I didn't want to leave it with Bella in that phase.

This chapter was so full of emotion!! Fear, same, sadness and just a touch of understanding and happiness at the end. I'm so happy that Bella finally understood that Edward is going nowhere! I really do love your story. There have been quite a few Bella gets raped stories that I've read...but usually it's James who does it, there's a few with Jacob in it too, but none of the fics have ever really gone into detail like you do with the healing process. And most certainly it's been AU-Human so never the vampire-human story so this is a nice change :) i like seeing the healing process, yes it may get hard and some who are sensitive make us cry, but it makes us love the relationship between Edward and Bella even more. I can't wait for the next chapter and i can't wait to see what happens to Jacob but i know that's probably going to be later rather than sooner lol <3

Yes, I have read some other rape stories, too, and I really wanted to write one that showed the details of what Bella goes through and how she heals. Although it can be difficult to read, I wanted to be as realistic as possible and I often feel that some writers often dilute how horrible it really is for a victim of rape. And I also really wanted to show the strong love between Edward and Bella and how they can get through everything together. I'm glad you like that it's not AU-Human! It can make it more difficult to write at times, but it also makes it more exciting and true to the original books. You are right that we won't see Jacob pay just yet. But it will come. This is a fairly long story and in terms of the timeline, it was Wednesday in this chapter and we last saw Jacob the day before. So it wouldn't really make sense for him to come out of hiding already. Thanks you so much for your review! It means a lot to me!

i'm really glad you are not writing bella shutting edward out. i believe that her healing will be faster and more complete since she knows every step of the way that he knows all of the ugly truth and is still there. can't wait for the next one :-)

I know of the Tenors too (I'm a canuk) but Americans should know too as they were on Oprah before or during the  Olympics... they were amazing.

Thi is just an opinion. I don't think that repeating everything, dialogue and all, and just changing the POV works well. It is a little boring. The story should progress, so what happens and was said with a POV should just be given in a shortened form when there is the other POV, adding new things, not repeating everything ...

But, you will be happy to know that there will be less repetition in the POVs from now on. There may still be some sections that I show from both sides (when I feel it important), but mostly there will be both POVs with incremental progression. Thank you very much for your review.  

I found your story last night and after reading your AN I wasn't sure whether to start reading or not.  Anyway as you can see I took the plunge and I'm now hooked.

The rape scene was just as harrowing as you said (never been a big Jacob fan), but what was/is more distressing is the mental and physical anguish that Bella is now enduring.  This is what makes me feel so heavy hearted and emotional.  :{ 

Love your Edward to bits.  He is trying so hard to be everything that Bella needs right now and not to give in to his own anger and distress!

I'm a bit surprised that Alice and Rose haven't been looking after Bella.  Especially as Alice is Bella's best friend and Rose suffered the same rape ordeal.

A difficult chapter, but the waiting and the constant upsets make it all the more realistic.

It was great to have EPOV for this, so that we could get the reactions of the people around them.

Hard for the genuine boyfriend to be suspected like that, but not unexpected.  Hate to see how the police officer was leading up to asking about the chain of events leading up the rape - that part made me cringe, even though my rational side acknowledges that it is probably part of the process.

Still have the awful exam to come!

Thanks so much for your comments. I love hearing your thoughts. I'm really happy you think it is realistic. I'm also really glad you liked the EPOV. You will also see it in the next chapter for the exam. That is one of the neat things about EPOV--you can give insight into the other characters as well. There aren't many times that writers can get that major advantage when writing in first person. 

Definitely a difficult situation because it is very common that the boyfriend is the one inflicting the abuse, so they are often the first person suspected. Yes, the officer is suppose to ask about it, but the officer here did not do a good job about the way she asked. She didn't have enough experience.
