i really like this chapter.  i think the issues you're bringing up are really interesting, like the dynamic between charlie and edward around bella and bella's insecurities especially with tanya.  (i wouldn't trust tanya there either!) 

i can understand why sm can't go into all the little details in her books, but that's one thing i like about fanfic--the chance to delve deeper and expand upon things. 

i am really looking forward to seeing what you do with the wedding. :)

in this chapter... well, to me, Bella sometimes has more common sense ;) edward is always so concerned and bella is just like "That's how it is. Period." very practical. I like it. And curious to read about the dinner that's coming up!

Btw, did SM say what would happen if the food stayed in their stomachs'?

Bella is less reactionary than Edward and she always has been. Although Edward thinks about things constantly, he tends to act emotionally where as she more logicly. Like you said, very practical.

No. SM never addressed what would happen if they didn't get rid of their own but I have my own theory about that. If it doesn't come out in the chapter, I'll try and add it to the end chapter notes.

Hmmm, I like this new Edward!   Willing to let up on his boundaries, not only for Bella's sake, but because he wants to!  And I'm glad that Bella told him she liked that he growled-it makes Edward more comfortable in his own skin!  I can't wait for dinner with Charlie, it should be interesting!

He is gaining more confidence and not being quite so ashamed of it. As Edward loses more control, his vampire instincts are coming closer to the surface, hence the growl. :)

Very nice and enticing chapter!  Made for some nice lunchtime reading, so I'm soooo ready to return to my afternoon of work!! (not!!)  Love to see Bella pushing the envelope and Edward almost being ready to go there, see, practice does make perfect Edward!!  (Although, seriously Bella, it would take more that Charlie at the door to put out that fire.....)  Looking forward to the next day........   ;)

I think it would have been more difficult to catch her breath had they not stopped before after Edward's growl. That kind of threw a cold bucket of water on things.

Yeah Bella has been told all these horror stories about being a newborn so her concerns are very real as far as being wild is concerned. And it's not that she doesn't trust Edward, but having this unknown, beautiful vampire who has a history with him does not sit well with her.

Edward is going to have a real talk with Charlie, no Bella. I'm not sure what you mean about artificial and cliche but it will be more than an 'I will take care of her'.

Yeah it is a good thing. With the wedding so close, they really shouldn't be having to hide their affection from anyone including Charlie.

I'm already working on chapter 36 so hopefully it won't be too long a wait. :) The dinner should be interesting. ;)

Aww I got a bit teary eyed when Charlie aske Bella if Edward would like to have dinner with them!
