I love this story, especially the way you're handling Edward.  It's canon, in character and tastefully done.

It's always struck me as odd that given Edward's medical degrees, he seems so unaware of female physiology.  Certainly he should know how to give Bella pleasure without hurting her, and should have gotten to at least second base!

Thank you. As for the medical degrees... I had to think about this, obviously, since I'm getting into his head. My view is that he just didn't pay attention. He was there to learn the techical side of things and with no partner and also thinking he'd never have one, he really just blocked that information. It's not that he doesn't know how climax occurs, it's that he is more knowledgable on the "what happens in the body when" part rather than the "how to stimulate your partner in a pleasurable way in order to get said climax to occur."

Sure I'll try. In Eclipes, when they are preparing for the newborns, we learn about Jasper's bites from other vampires. It's also mentioned that when another vampire bites them, it burns/stings them, because of the venom. If venom was what was came out at the time of climax for the male vampire, then it would burn/sting their mate which would not be pleasent, therefore venom is not what is released.
