It's amazing how you write B&E's characters so incredibly close to canon. This is EXACTLY the reaction S.Meyer's Edward would have had to such a conversation with Bella. And you executed it perfectly. I cannot wait to read more.
Author's Response: Yea it is. He is so old fashioned and back then oral sex just wasn't talked about in circles with any social propriety. Edward grew up in the time of my grandparents who slept in separate beds their entire marriage. This is totally new territory for him and he's having to work through a lot of issues.

Welcome to Twilighted. There are some great ladies on here and a lot of very talented writers.
Anticipation is part of the fun. Bella and Edward would not, after a year and a half of pretty much no sexual contact and playing it VERY safe, would have just jumped into sex with both feet.

Awkward is a good word for this chapter. Edward. Bella. Their entire discussion. But no matter how awkward they both feel, this is definitely something they need to talk about together. If they don't trust each other enough to be honest and vulnerable when they speak, how can they expect it when they act?

you're right that they would only have relatively chaste practice rather than having any form of sex before the wedding. I believe they would have touch each other and Edward should have given Bella orgasm by touching her. But still, Edward has not seen Bella completely naked. I am sure Edward had seen Bella's chest because Bella was wrapped in sheets when Jasper jumped up over the window, which was after the "dress rehearsal". Edward, instead, would not allow Bella to pleasure her with her hands before the wedding although Bella should have touched Edward with Edward's pants on.
Please continue as soon as you could.
Author's Response: I didn't get the impression in BD that Bella was shirtless when they were doing the "dress rehearsal." Edward always made sure there were blankets between them so she wouldn't get cold.

Yes he really does need her. This is something he is very unsure about for so many reasons. Luckily Bella loves him just as much as he does her and would do anything for him. Even deal with is old fashioned view of sex.

Complaints? What? But the whole moving at a snail's pace thing is what makes this fic so great! I love that they're not rushing into anything. It's adorable how unsure they both are despite how much they want each other. Seriously, if people want fast-moving smut, there are plenty of other fics available to them. I'll stick to reading this one.

I for one have no problem with the pacing of your story I looove the chase its just so much sexier! That being said I'm glad you explained the whole going in canon thing:)
Author's Response: Thank you. I couldn't remember if I'd mentioned the cannon part in a A/N before or not. I know I'd addressed it in some reviews. There are enough stories out there that have them messing around before the wedding. I wanted to give a veiw of what really could have happened in the world SM gave us.
