Reviews For Into the Fire
Reviewer: kycee (Signed) · Date: June 22, 2010 03:03 AM · On: Interlude: Charlie's Determination

Thank you for not leaving us with last chapters cliffy for a whole extra chapter. I feel so bad for Charlie. He is such a good man and has had such a lonely life, thanks to Renee. I hate he has to lose Bella. As for the next chapter, I think alternating points of view would be best. Thanks again for the update.

Author's Response:

Welcome for the cliffy fix. :) I feel so much for Charlie, too, but between soulmates needing to be together forever and the Volturi's demands, he kinda gets the raw end of the deal. *sigh*  Thanks for the review!!

Don't think I've reviewed yet, but I've been enjoying the story.  I'd say to write in whatever POV best helps you to tell the story.

Author's Response:

Thank you. For both the review and the trust. :)

Thank you for the bit of EPOV.  I would prefer a bit of both Edward and Bella in the next chapter.

Author's Response:

Welcome. :) I didn't want to leave you hanging in such a bad place. And a little E and BPOV coming right up.

Reviewer: nightline (Signed) · Date: June 22, 2010 01:18 AM · On: Interlude: Charlie's Determination

This was intense. Poor Charlie, I feel so sorry for him, knowing that he'll have to find out that his daughter is "dead"... Although I'm a tiny little bit disappointed that Charlie won't be the one telling Edward - because I just love it when Edward has to act devastated despite his knowledge.

I'd like to read from Bella's change mostly in EPOV (he's just such a drama queen when Bella is involved, and I love to read that), with a little BPOV for good measure, if that's possible :-)

Thanks for sharing this story!

Author's Response:

Oh don't worry. Edward will get his chance to act devastated in front of an audience. I really feel sorry for Charlie, too. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!!

Reviewer: Daylen (Signed) · Date: June 22, 2010 12:17 AM · On: Interlude: Charlie's Determination

wow I'd like to say thanks for giving us the brief EPOV there, because now I'm worrying a little less (even though I know she's going to Change etc, the worry's still there :S)

I wonder if Charlie's going to eventually find out about Bella, and how he's going to feel about the Cullens and the Pack acting around him during this chapter? I'm thinking if Bella's the one to talk to him, he'll be less likely to get too upset about it, the relief of having his daughter back being enough.

Or maybe he'll never know... looking forward to finding out which way you take it.

As for which PoV in the next chapter, I know I'd like a little bit of Bella at least, since it'd be good to hear from her (around the pain) but I think it comes down to whichever fits the flow right from what I've read since I began hanging around this site ;)

Author's Response:

I don't think Charlie will find out in this AU. I'm not planning to take the story past resolution with the Volturi, methinks, so him finding out in the future might be feasible. We'll see. My plot bunnies often run amuck. Heheheh...thanks for the review, as always, Daylen!

Poor Charlie!  You all but made me cry with hhis POV this time.  I think alternating povs for Bella's change would be best.  I always regreted SM didn't give us more of Edward while Bella was changed.

Author's Response:

Yeah, after reading what little she has of Midnight Sun, I've been craving EPOVs myself. Which is why I love finding a good one in fandom. :) Thank you for the review!!

Reviewer: Jenny Cullen (Signed) · Date: June 21, 2010 11:02 PM · On: Interlude: Charlie's Determination

Great chapter! Poor Charlie. :( I trust however you want to do the next POVs. You haven't let us down so far!

Author's Response:

Thank you, for the review and the vote of confidence. :)

Reviewer: amhatfie (Signed) · Date: June 21, 2010 10:30 PM · On: Interlude: Charlie's Determination

Wow, I can't even imagine what Charlie must be feeling. Multiple POV's do not bother me at all and I think that Bella needs one. Oh, I have a feeling that the next chapter or two are gonna be emotional.

It's ok, I have Kleenexes. lol

Author's Response:

Yes, bring out the tissues! I just got the next chapter up for validation but I didn't finish the change. There's too much going on so I've split it into two. :) thank you so much for reviewing!

Reviewer: Horizon77 (Signed) · Date: June 21, 2010 10:16 PM · On: Interlude: Charlie's Determination

This wasn't the chapter I expected, but that's definitely not a bad thing! Thank you for giving us a moment to see things from the other side - Charlie's horror and heartbreak. It's easy sometimes in the Twilight fandom to get caught up in Bella and Edward's story, but her father loses so much when she decides to join Edward's family. You really found Charlie's voice, here; well done! I also really liked your addition of Carlisle to the mix. This has got to be one of the hardest pieces of acting he's had to do...

To answer your plea for help, here's my vote: I'd love both POVs eventually. I think it's important to show both sides of that particular chapter of the story. Whether you choose to do them in separate chapters or the same one is fine by me. However, *please* don't go back and forth too much. I really don't like when authors switch from one POV to the next over and over. A couple times is fine, but more than that is distracting. Hope that helps and looking forward to your next update!! :)

Author's Response:

I wanted to make things realistic and I thought seeing things through Charlie's eyes might make it more so. We won't have Jacob to 'spill the supernatural beans' this time. As to Carlisle, I love Daddy Cullen and but the man...uh, vamp...has been acting for three centuries. He's bound be to be really good at it. But yes, this is no doubt one of the hardest 'scenes' he's ever done.

I really don't like doing more than one POV in a chapter, honestly, but I do make exceptions and the majority of my readers wanted alternating, so I'll give you all that.  Hope you enjoy the next one!

This chapter sure made me feel sorry for Charlie. If you do a BPOV please don't talk about dancing dust motes when she wakes up. I don't think I can take it. hehehe An EPOV during her change would be different. Update soon. :)

Author's Response:

Hehe...if I do mention the dancing dustmotes, it's only to tease you. LOL. As for Charlie, yeah. Poor man...I hated doing that to him, but I wanted to make it realistic. Bella's choice is going to hurt people, but in the end, it's for the best and unavoidable (Think Volturi). Thanks for the reviews!

Reviewer: Grizelda (Signed) · Date: June 21, 2010 09:09 PM · On: Interlude: Charlie's Determination

I vote for EPOV.  Bella is too drugged up to be coherent if she was to narrate it. Lol

Author's Response:

Hehe...well, Edward has already promised to wait until she's more alert, but I agree that Bella's POV during the change isn't really the best. But I compromised with all the reviewers wanting alternating POVs. :) Thanks for the review!!

Thanks for the update, this story is amazing. Can't wait to read more.

Thank you. I can't wait to finish writing this one. :)

Someone read 'The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner'... you did a great job.

Did you read it for free online or did you buy it?

Just wondering how many chs are left? I hope it's not over soon.

Author's Response:

Thank you. :) I actually just read a really good review. I haven't been able to purchase it yet, but I wanted to add a little flavor from it.  As far as chapters, I'm thinking a handful. Five or six, maybe? I tend to get verbose, so it might be more.

Reviewer: roxnroll (Signed) · Date: June 16, 2010 04:12 PM · On: Three Seconds Too Late

OMG!!!! She's awake? How horrible. I can't wait to find out what shape she's in now that she's been tossed around the inside of that van-I can't even imagine.

Awww...skipping to the end? I hope you enjoyed the parts you did read. Thank you for the review!

GAH!  Don't leave me hanging!  This was excellent.  I really like that not everything went perfectly.  It's always good drama when even the good guys get knocked down too.  Please post more soon!

Author's Response:

I wanted to make it fairly realistic. War is ugly and it is rare that everyone comes out unscathed. Thank you for the review. I promise to update soon. :)

Reviewer: Saydonee (Signed) · Date: June 16, 2010 08:31 AM · On: Three Seconds Too Late
