Great chapter!  Looking forward to the update!  I really love how you have changed things.  Bella's reaction was more "realistic".  Even though she feels a strong connection to Edward who wouldn't be afraid to find out vampires are truly real?  Great Job!

No!!!!  It's too soon for Bella to figure it out!  She may be infatuated with Edward, but -- even if she did picture him when she made out with Jake -- I don't think she's in love with Edward yet.  And I think she needs to be in love with him when she confronts him about this.  Can she accept what he is if she doesn't yet have deep feelings about him -- giving her a reason to accept him for what he is?

I think Edward shouldn't have been so distant with Bella today at school.  I know he's worried that he has blown his family's cover -- and that's major -- but if he had just acted normally, things might have been okay -- at least until Bella realizes she has fallen in love with him, and then it might not matter.  He did act exactly like book Edward acted, and it worked out -- but Bella wasn't dating Jacob at the time either.  I *really* hope she doesn't mention her suspicions to Jake.  It would be *awful* for her to find out about Edward from Jake in this version of reality.  I hated that she even said anything about the way he was acting at school.  I feel like I'm going to be holding my breath until the next chapter posts -- and maybe even then.

In your author's note, you said things are about to get messy for "our trio".  I don't mind things getting messy, as long as if in the end Bella is happily with Edward *forever*.  Have I mentioned that desire before?  *ggg*

Thanks for another awesome chapter!  I'm very eager to know what Bella says to Edward, and how he reacts.  Maybe he will take her to the meadow to talk.  I would love for there to be a meadow scene in this story -- especially if it goes as well as the meadow scene in the book.  :)

Aww! I know it seems soon, but think back to the books...she was totally in love with him ASAP. She knows there's something there in this story, but her feelings for Edward are clouded and skewed because of her relationship with Jake. Hopefully the next couple of chapters help to convince you that the timing is right for them ;)

And yes, he probably shouldn't have been so distant, but our Edward has always been a little bit of an over-reactor...

I will assure you that Jake will not tell her, he physically can't because of Sam's gag-order. Not to mention it would break the treaty.

In the end Edward and Bella will find their HEA...but shit is messy up until then...so just hang on and try to enjoy the ride :P

i am so glad you enjoyed my take on a stronger Bella. I figured it was time to make her a little less weak and give her a bit of an edge.

Okay, I am super behind in replies, and I see that you reviewed every chapter! So, first of all…THANK YOU! I love that!

Second, it’s a pain in the ass to reply to them all separately since I am so behind since I would have to go through multiple screens, and let’s face it, I am totes lazy. :P

So, I will respond to each review, but just on this last one, deal? I sure hope so, since that’s what I’m doing  :P

Ch1:-Contentment:

I am beyond thrilled that you like my subtle attempts at humour. The allergy line in that chapter was probably one of my favourites!

Ch2-Confusion:

Yes, he and Tanya are eternal BFF’s. I hope that you can be at peace with this and know that, while Tanya is canon in having feelings for Edward, he does not reciprocate the lusty-wrong feelings she has. She knows that being friends with him is as good as it gets for them and is okay with that. I hope you enjoy their friendship. I am enjoying exploring it, and it’s nice to write her as friendly as opposed to the bitch that everyone (including myself in another story) does.

And yup…human blood up until recently. So imagine how hard it is to abstain from feeding on it all the time…especially when you come face-to-face with your singer…YIKES!

Ch3-Promise Me:

I am glad you dig how sweet Bella and Jake are. A lot of people have a huge hate-on for him right now…and it’s understandable, cuz I kind of do, too…and I’m writing him :P

To answer your question: At this point in the story, no, he has not shifted. He only knows what his dad has told him, and that’s just that they are dangerous. He hasn’t told him anything else yet as that can’t be told until the fever has set in.

Ch4-Escape:

HAHA! I love that YOU love Bella not taking Lauren’s crap. Hee hee!

I’m so glad that this chapter was enjoyed! I hope the next chapter’s study date was enjoyed ;)

Ch5-Broken Promises:

Yes! The almost kiss was probably one of the hotter things I have written. IDK, I enjoy a good lemon here and there, but to have them so close that their lips barely touch…and then her breathy “stop”…totally hot in here **fans self**

Ch6-Savior:

Jake is not pleased about Edward being there. Will he say anything to Charlie, though? I guess we’ll see :O

Again, glad you picked up on the little bits of humour I have scattered around here! I love Rosalie and to make her bitchiness funny is always a treat for me :D

I'm starting to really love this story! Love your writing! Love that Edward knows right away that it's more than Bella's blood that draws him to her! What will happen on their study date? How will Jake react?

Oh, almost forgot! Love, love, love that Bella doesn't take any crap from Lauren!!!

He's been feeding on humans till about three months ago?!!!!

You know, waiting for the next chapter is going to be really hard!  :)  I am *very* eager to read the next one.  Go figure!  :)  I'm eager to find out what Bella has to say to Edward about him saving her from the could-have-been-worse accident, and to know what he says to her to explain it all.  I suppose, even though he wasn't supposed to be there, Edward could tell her she hit her head like he did in the book, because she will have the wound -- that he will obviously ask her about right off.  However, I have the feeling that, like in the books, she won't believe that's all there is to it.

I'm very glad that Sam didn't pursue fighting Edward and Emmett when Emmett crossed the boundry line.  However, I know Paul -- and especially Jacob -- would have been happy to have killed them on the spot.  I did think that -- now that he has gotten a scent of Jacob in wolf form -- Edward would recognize the scent when he was near Jacob again -- which is, of course, what happened when Edward was outside Bella's room.  I hope that Jacob doesn't say anything to Charlie about Edward being there.  I don't see how Jacob can say anything without revealing how he knows, but I wouldn't put it past him to say something about Edward stalking Bella.

I really don't like this Jacob at all.  I mean, in the books, I didn't dislike him, though -- especially in 'Eclipse' I didn't like a lot of what he did and said.  Still, I didn't dislike Jacob and Bella being friends.  But your Jacob is more like the Jacob in 'Eclipse' when he would try to manipulate Bella into doing what he wanted.  He's very possessive, and I don't like him at all.  Of course, part of that is because I *love* your Edward, and can hardly wait until Bella realizes she has feelings for him.  I know the story needs to progress more before Bella recognizes her feelings, and decides that her relationship with Jake won't work any more.  But I have to admit that I am more than eager for this to happen.  Go figure!  :)

In case I haven't mentioned it, I *love* reading from Edward's POV.  You write him really well, and I really do love reading from his perspective.  I hope you will continue to give us his thoughts a lot.  :)

Thanks for another really great chapter.  And, yes, I do hope it won't be too long before you are able to post again.  What can I say?  I always want more.  Of course, it's your fault!  If you didn't write so well, I wouldn't always be eager for more.  *g*  I definitely look forward to your next update!  :)

Yes, I had to throw it in that Edward recognized Jake by his smell. The dog odour is something I found absolutely hilarious in the books, so I tried to keep that pretty cannon :P

You're right, this Jacob is a darker, more controlling version of Eclipse-Jake. He is who I channeled for this story, because he and Bella were closer to being an item in Eclipse (not really, but with the kiss and all, he was pretty damn persistent). However, I do feel the need to come to his defense a little, LOL!

While this Jake seems like a controlling ass who can't keep his emotions in check (cannon personality, much?) he is only doing what He thinks is right. He loves Bella and feels that the Cullens really are a potential threat. He and Bella have been together for a long time and then all of a sudden this new guy comes to town and is all up in his business? He's about to go rabid dog on Edward's ass :P. Anyways, I have a chapter later on MUCH later on) planned for Jake's POV. I hope it allows the readers to sympathize with him a little bit on why he was the way he was. I dont want him to be the bad guy, that's just how he seems until we can get inside his head and figure him out a little.

Still hate him? It's totally cool if you do...I am writing him and defending him and EYE still kind of hate him :P

Now, on the flip side...I am SO GLAD you love Edward. I can only hope that that love continues as he tends to pull some more cannon-ward traits later on as well that I know drove ME bonkers :O

And the fact that you love how I write him might save how you feel about him during those times to come where he makes some not-so-stellar choices in regards to "the right thing"

I have three other stories on this site and I can only post one chapter at a time (you are reading Chosen by Blood, so you get 2 updates a week from me :D ) I have a chapter for another story in he queue right now, but my validation beta's are super awesome and really quick at updating for me, so this next chapter should be up shortly after that one!

Oh fun!  I can't wait for the next chapter that has Edward's point of view to see his reaction to Jacob and Bella's confrontation, their "almost" kiss, and what thoughts he heard from Charlie.

i think it was nice that tanya was edwards best friend... bella has jacob.. so i think that was a good twist on their relationship

Once again, I have to apologize for not reviewing before this chapter.  I started reading, and just had to keep going until I had caught up.

I really love that you are writing from Edward's POV as well as Bella's.  I *love* reading from Edward's perspective, and you write hiim so well.

I have to say, I wasn't crazy about 'Promise Me'.  I know you had to set up the relationship between Bella and Jacob that you told us existed in your summary, but I really don't enjoy seeing them together.  It's not that I don't like Jacob.  I don't dislike him, but he and Bella are not meant to be anything other than friends.  That said, the chapter was well written, and did accomplish it's purpose.  While I understand why Jacob made Bella promise to stay away from Edward, I hate that he was so aggressive with her about it.  However, I like that she's chosen to ignore him.  However, I am afraid of how Jake will act, when he finds out she's not keeping her promise.  Perhaps that will cause them to break up.  That would make me *very* happy!

I'm glad that Edward didn't stay longer in Alaska.  And that when he got back, he was able to control himself enough to be around Bella.  I love that he sat with her at lunch.  He's admitted to himself that he has a crush on her, however, I know he's found his mate, and can hardly wait for him to figure this out.  I hope it won't be long before he and Bella become close.

In your summary, you say, "Feelings emerge, relationship dynamics change & battle lines are drawn."  I take this to mean that Bella is going to fall in love with Edward -- which I want to see happen, because I'm an Edward and Bella girl -- and I can imagine the "battle lines" and it scares me.  Jake is not going to be a happy camper, not only to lose his girlfriend, but because of who he's losing her to.  Unfortunately, I don't think there are any lengths to which Jake will go to keep that from happening.

Of course, this is all speculation, and I could be completely wrong.  However, when it comes to Edward and Bella falling in love, I hope I'm not wrong.  Go figure!
