Yikes...another emotional one! I hope they both beat the crap outta fuckin Newton..douchebag!!  OMG...poor Edward!!! 10 years old getting hit with a bat!?!?! So much trauma he's endured yet turned out to have such a sweet & gentle soul. Thank goodness Bella was there to talk him thru the bad trip. Can't wait to hear his reaction to the "L" word. Before he came to Forks obviously nobody treated Edward right, like Bella I wonder how he found the strenght to come out of all the horrible experiences the way he is now.

I still like Charlie, he wasn't too hard on Bella, but he is more observant than she thought.

Newton on the other hand is despiceable if Edward is right and he knew he was giving them spiced weed. If Bella is looking for someone to beat up maybe mike would make a good choice.

I agree that you should always call 911 in a situation like this, but I still think that Bella might have done... well not the RIGHT thing, but what was better for Edward at that moment. I just hope that if it ever happens again, Bella will shut Edward up and call for help.

I loved reading Charlies reaction. It just seem very appropriate ;)

Once again great chapter!!!  I love this story!!!  I almost cried during Edward's flashback... so sad.  I can't wait for the next update!!!

I'm not really good about submitting reviews but I really love this story. Edward and Bella are so different from the typical characters in other stories.  They clearly love each other and both have lived similarly hard and violently tragic lives.  You said in your author's notes that you haven't decided if this will be a HEA story. This has me worried as I get too involved with stories I fall in love with and even dealing with angst when I know a HEA is coming causes me depression and sleeplessness. If this story ends badly, it will have a profound effect on me.  I'm not sure if I should continue to read and get myself emotionally involved in this story if there is a chance it will have a unhappy ending.  It is your story to do as you see fit, but I just know my limits and I have literally had sleepless nights being upset over stories and I am a nurse and need my sleep. I do hope you decide to go in the direction of HEA with this story.

So much in here, and all of it good. It's nice to know Carlisle and Esme's motivations for taking on Edward. Lets face it he was a pretty scary prospect. I loved also that Edward had  created his code of ethics from reading the classics. Not sure where the piercings and ink factor in there, lol. He's still a bit of an enigma though and I think I prefer it that way. The paying of "rent" was downright heartbreaking. That Esme and Carlisle had to produce financial documents to convince Edward that his aid was not necessary, very cute. Carlisle is right about Edward seeing things in black and white. There is "His" was and the wrong way. Is the Charlie/Bella chat coming up? Will he reveal what he knows about her from her records? Huge, Huge chapter,  thankyou :)

carlisles pov was interesting...he seems more uptight then what i get from edwards pov...probably becaue we can now see into his mind and what he is really thinking lol...i get it though...i am happy to see he does love esme and isnt gay like charlie thought lol...he has a healthy sex life i see.,..i am surprised they werent more embarrased when edward brought up the packages lol....Edwards life makes me so sad but i am glad that alice and he are really that close and there for eachother no matter what and i am glad that they saw that edward really was a good guy...i can see how his life could have been so damaging to him though.  The only thing that confused me were the ages..i thought edward was adopted younger then at 17 and alice at 16....they really havent beenwith them that long then....so the age of adulthood in the us is 21....that sucks...i am from canada and its 19 here thank god!  i cant believe you really have to be so old!  So i understand from what you said at the beginning in the author notes you were adopted? Is that what inspired you to do this fic,,,,,i hope your life wasnt liked edward and alices!! Great chapter and i like that you made sure edward has money no matter what from his real mom...she seemed so good..poor edward i am curious as to how he feels about his real mom and what she seemed to have gone through..are you going to elaborate a bit on that?  Anyways keep up the good work!..  ps wouldnt mind seeing charlies pov
