Reviews For Finding Forever

Such a lovely chapter.  Finally they are talking properly and being more open with each other and the big one for me, is that Sarah is admitting and taking some of the blame for the relationship going wrong.

Lol, 'Herb and garlic risotto.....take four' bless him he tried and we all love a trier.  I love that he bought her Sylvester pyjama's and the rest of the things she would need if she stayed, some might say presumptuous, I would say thoughtful as well as showing that he really didn't expect anything, just cuddling *sigh*

Sarah's thoughts during the car ride, remembering some of their past journeys, important to remember those times I think, because in this new beginning, their moving forward, they will need to take some of those memories, good and bad, with them and not be afraid of that past, just learn from it.

I can't wait for the next chapter.

Author's Response:

Hi Jane,

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

So glad that you enjoyed this chapter. It's important for them to talk and for them both to admit their parts in this.

Bless him, indeed! He's trying. And you're right-reflecting on the past, on everything they have been through is important to move forward.

More on the way.

I think they can move forward as long as they talk to each other. Letting things go is dangerous to a relationship. I like the idea of going forward rather than focusing on the past as well. You can't make up for past mistakes.

Author's Response:

Hi hun,

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

You're right, of course!~ You can't let things go-communication is the key.

Oh Les,

Another spectacular chapter! Froms Rob's many pots of ruined risotto to the Sylvester pjs and everythin' in between.

Both so very nervous, but knowin' that "the talk" had to take place. This made me gasp:  "You're touching me," he murmurs. After all the self doubtin' and blamin' her touchin' him meant so very much. Her we" gives him a glimmer of hope.

The Kiss...OMK! So emotinal and heartfelt by them both, and so sensual; a beginnin' to a new beginnin'!

After agreein' that he needs to see Beth (blech), Rob really opens up to Sarah. and as emotionally draining it was, it also leads to that new beginnin'!

Love that Rob went out and bought her the pajamas, a toothbrush, and contact care. He knew that he wanted her to stay. I'm glad that all they did was sleep (this comin' from me?!) They need to take this much slower than the first time. But the cuddlin' was delicious!

The convo in the SUV was so sweet and tellin', from this: "I want to go back there," he whispers.  And this: "I don't want to go back." and this: "I want to go forward... to something better... " And finally this:  "So we can't go back?" he asks. "No. Forward is much better."

So, now we wait (im)patiently for the next chapter and MORE PLEASE, ASAP!

This is an awesome read, darlin', and I'm proud to have you in my top 5 author's list! I look forward to each word you write!

Love you!

Ellen xx

Author's Response:

Hi Ellen!

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

So glad that you enjoyed this chapter. Forward... yes, forward is better!

I love that you enjoyed the cuddling and the sleep!--hehehe--- it's important for them-reconnecting always is a powerful experience-even if only cuddling is invovled... for now.

OH! On the top 5! Wow! I'm honoured, hun.

More on the way my dear.

Love,

Perfect. Now to see how things go when they go public, and more importantly when Rob apologizes to the boys!

Author's Response:

Hi there!

Thanks for reading and reviewing!

Yes- the boys and Rob... that conversation is going to be important... for everyone.

Happy sigh!

Such a lovely, warm, sweet chapter, Les. Just gorgeous!

I'm so glad they've decided to get past this and move forward instead. And I'm so pleased that Sarah is taking some of the blame for this too, letting Rob know it wasn't all his fault.

I know they've still got some things to work through - like Rob talking to Beth - but I'm positive they'll get there. They love each other too much to not let it work.

Rob attempting the risotto was very sweet. And yay, they kissed!! Woot! And shared a bed too. Sarah's got some restraint though, whew! She needs time though, I get that.

There's also a really cheesy 80s pop song by Kylie Minogue called Never Too Late. Hehee! It's still fitting though... It's never too late, we've still got time. It's never too late, you can still be mine.

Loved it as always, Les. :)

So glad you enjoyed this chapter. Moving forward is never easy-especially for Sarah, who has been through as much as she has, but, she knows what she wants.

Love Kylie's version!---It is fitting!

I am so glad these two are getting their acts together and doing it slowly like they should.  AND let me say a thing or two about Chez P.  I don't care if the food stinks!  If Rob is there, so am I!  I would sit there, eat burnt chicken risotto, and smile like a fool!  Great chapter, as always.  Looking forward to the next one!

Oh and now there's hope.  And maybe they are in a better place to make a real relationship work.  Sarah at least seems like she's willing to make more sacrifices.  Can't wait to see what's up next for these two.  Do we really think the interviewer isn't going to want to know who Sarah is??

Great chapter!

What an amazing chapter.  How to review?  So much said.  So much unsaid.

So at least they have had a really meaningful heart-to-heart talk.  Mostly Rob.  But Sar did talk about her issues too.  At least they both finally understand they BOTH made mistakes.  But Rob does truly need to face Beth head on.  If he doesn't, he is leaving Beth with the impression of hope.  And Beth is the type of person that won't give up easily.  Even Tom recognizes this.  Rob knows what he wants.  He must embrace this and realize that he can't do it by himself.  Sar has to do her part too.  Trust is not an issue that Rob must handle.

And Sar - finally with her fingers at the top of that wall.  Head peeking over.  Hopefully she can pull her body over as well.  She has to realize that she can't begin to make the boys, much less Rob, happy, if she doesn't see to her happiness first.  And trust is a huge part of moving forward for her.  I think with trust comes her happiness.  Rob has to give her reason to trust that he will do the right things for them to have a future.

This bridge is still very shaky.  I want to tell these kids - breathe - baby steps -- communicate and hopefully trust and happiness will follow.  They have the touchy, feely physical love in place.  They are always needy physically.  But their emotional connection must be strengthened and nurtured.  The heart forgives.  The mind has a hard time forgetting.  Time and patience.

And you let Rob in the kitchen.  I know he can afford to remodel should he err, but what about the other tennants?   giggles out loud.   You are a brave writer!!!

This is one of my favorite stories.  These characters have had a happy journey up until the last few chapters.  But when you go back and reread, wow, their characters development is awesome.  Rob is growing up, maturing, finding his true self.  And Sar, realizing that there is still youth in herself.  Hopefully together they can find forever.  I trust your vision.  I can only hope that it will be a HEA.

Love you as a writer, you know that without it being said.  And I do appreciate your gifted writing of this story.  Thank you.

Elaine -- sparkledamnu on twitter

Author's Response:

Hi Elaine,

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing and for your kind words.

You're right-they did both make mistakes-its hard to admit that when you're in the situation so deeply, but they both have and that is a major milestone.

Your words of wisdom about Sarah and the boys-they touch me greatly. You can't begin to make the important people in your life happy, if you yourself are not. The heart does forgive-especially for these two who both have very large hearts... forgettiing, well, that's never easy and I'm actually not sure if you ever do really forget, but you can learn to move past it, to a place where you are stronger because of it.

They are both growing, learning, changing, separately and together. Their relationship can't be the same as it used to be, only moving forward can things change for them.

More is on the way.

Brilliant as usual!

Its nice to see Sarah taking up some of the responsibility for what happened and what needs to happen going forward. Its so easy to take the way of letting the other party assume all the responsibility when they appear to be completely willing to do so. Though, I do see where its tough to be the one to make some of those changes, esp. when you have minime's in your life that are affect by most every decision you make. Its a fine line to walk but at some point her happiness is important on so many levels.

The mental picture of Rob absolutely destroying a kitchen in the process of making risotto gives me the complete giggles. I would, however, still like to smack Beth into next week.

Eagerly awaiting the next chapter, even if it does mean we are that much closer to the end.

~Stacie (justmestac)

Author's Response:

Hi Stacie,

Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!

She does have to take responsibility for what happened. It's a major milestone for them for both of them to acknowledge that.

You're right! With little ones in your life, you need to think about so much more, and things become complicated quickly. She is starting to realize that you need to happy before you can give the people in your life everything they need and deserve.

*giggles with you on Rob in the kitchen* Poor guy...he's trying.
