Wow what an amazing chapter. So much happened and so much new information. Let me start with the dream Bella had with Edward and Alice. It kinda reminds me of when Alice was visiting and her human life ended. Maybe Edward's life, because of fate, will have to end? Regardless I really hope Bella and Edward will get their happy ending. I'm just as nervous as Bella for Edward to go back to Chicago but I understand it would be evil for her to ask Edward to stay while his parents suffered. I just hope that if Bella ends up back in forks that Edward will remember this life and remember that he loved Bella even as a human. Amazing writing! Can't wait for the next update!

Wow, this chapter was such a fluent read. I didn't even really stop in between reading to drop a line here and there on the review doc, silly me, so that means I'll just have to write it out at the end, that's almost a first.

Okay, I was happy in the beginning when Bella told Edward that his parents weren't going to survive. Like she was thinking later on: he cannot blame her now if they pass away. He must have understood how much it pained her to keep that ‘knowledge' to herself.

Then there were Bella's nightmares. Dude, they're so spooky. I think I'd wake up screaming as well. Definitely with the one where Maggie was humming some Cyndi to herself, and Edward was bending over in agony... Is that a possibility for what could happen if they were not to go back to Chicago?

I liked the little conversations that Bella had with the book store owner, and that he was reading about time traveling. I know Bella's dead set on trying to change things, but I too doubt it's going to happen.

All those newspaper reports... Dude. And Edward trying to contact his parents to make them come over, and then his father getting infected after all... You know, if the parents know the disease is lethal, they must know from the newspaper and doctors, then it's a bit selfish of his mother to expect him to go back home to watch his father die. I get he has to go, but it had been better if the mother had just said that he should stay there. She knows he's in a very remote location, perhaps by now she knows why, and still he's expected home. I of course understand that that's the way it's got to go to get Edward back home, but I don't have to be happy at his mother for making him come home.

Does Bella at that time already have the knowledge that his mother also took care of him in the hospital, but it weakened her out so much she couldn't fight her own disease anymore? Will she be telling him about all that in the car ride? About her fears of him dying, what he's going to become?

If my theory about it being really in the past is correct, and he really needs to turn, then telling him he's going to be a vampire at this point wouldn't matter, since he's apparently not going to remember? Would she tell him of the people he killed, of the self-hate he has because of what he'd become after his death?

We'll see.

Anyway, it was lovely to hear from Carlisle and Maggie and Samantha again. How surprised will he be when they show up there? Perhaps he won't be, because he knows Edward's father is in the hospital...

Must be odd, going back there, knowing what disease is lingering there. *shudders*

I was worried that Edward's parents would come to Altoona and spread teh disease, but it didn't happen.  It looks like no matter what Bella wants, she can't change the future.  Very "Time Machine" actually, like you mentioned.

I loved it, but you can't keep me hanging like this!!!  You can't! I'm dying here! :)

I was so excited to see the update email come in! Great chapter as usual. Such a good buildup. The next chapters are going to be so good I just know it! I think I know how this is going to end and I can't wait to see if I'm right.
