Billy Black is such a turd! Should I say it again?  How dare he tell Edward anything about his soul.  He's so hateful whish I never understood since the Cullen's are vegeatrians.  I mean sure there's the off chance one of them could slip up but what about the occasional human that commits murder?  Anyone is capable of being bad or evil.  They need to cut the Cullen's and Edward some slack. And I am just waiting for Bella to go off on them for talking crap about her man.  You know she's got some fire in her. :)

Yet another horror to consider as the consequence of being human.  Not only will he not be able to protect Bella, or even keep his own self from danger, but if he should die what will happen to him?  If he has a soul, is it damned to hell?  Can he be redeemed?  Was he even wrong to begin with, considering it is a vampire instinct to feed off of humans?  If he has no soul, then he will never be with Bella forever.  Hmmm.

Bella and Edward return from their glorious vacation in Florida.  Alice picked them up from the airport.  Upon reaching Bella's home and taking the luggage into the house Edward discovered Billy Black and wolves were there to talk.  Edward returned to the car and told Alice to drive to the Cullen home.  Bella being stubborn as usual gets out of the car and began walking to the house.  Edward carried her back to the car and before  Alice could drive off Charlie came outside.  Bella and Charlie headed for the house while Edward told Alice to contact Carlisle regarding discussion of the treaty and the young wolves.  Edward entered the house and Charlie went to make coffee and get beers.  Carlisle and Alice entered the house to quietly talk with Billy. Billy was shocked that Edward was human and disgusted as to how he was changed.  He still told Edward he was still soulless and black.  Carlisle set up the meeting to discuss the Swan home either on Cullen or Quilete land.  Carlisle and Alice left stating they would stay in the area until the wolves leave for Edward and Bella's safety.  While they were on vacation Edward had told Alice to bring in a larger bed and a new computer.  When Bella and Edward looked at the room everything had been changed.  New furniture, carpet, walls painted, and arrangement of Bella's personal possessions.  Charlie told Bella to rest they were all going to Clearwaters for dinner and he would be late.  Edward and Bella discussed the legends Jacob had told her on the beach. She remembered the wolf story.  Edward said he would go with his family to the midnight meeting to read the Quilete's minds.  Bella is concerned with his safety.  He's human now also.  Alice, Esme, and Carlisle arrived through Bella's windows to tell Edward he needed to stay away from the meeting.  It would prove his alliance isn't with the Cullens.  Carlisle will utilize Jasper's gift to determine if they are being tricked. Bella had a great argument regarding her home.  Currently she resided in neutral territory, but she had termed it Swan territory.  Since Swan territory Edward was welcomed to stay there by both Charlie and herself.  After Alice, Esme, and Carlisle leave, Bella and Edward head to bed.  They enjoy the larger bed.  Good wishes on the midnight meeting.  Hoping the neutral land remains neutral.  The treaty will still be intact.  If broken was done by Jacob over a year ago.  Edward didn't tell Bella about changing into wolves she remembered from Jake's story.

I really like this story! But I couldn't help wondering... He's been human now for one day, he met Carlisle, Bella talked to Alice, Jasper and Emmett have been mentioned - but what about Rosalie? Given the fact that she mourns her humanity a lot more than the others, she must be crazy with jealousy by now.

I'm curious how and when she is going to come into the story :-) So I'll just go on reading now.

So Edward is now faced with the fact that his soul may not be "repaired". I can only tell this has opened a new door of self doubt. Great job, as always. ;)

Sorry I'm a little behind. A fun chapter, of course till the end. Is brooding Edward back? Guess I'll have to keep reading to find out. Excellent job. ;)
