Glad to see his pain wasn't from a bite. Although still sad to see that human Edward still thinks leaving Bella is a good idea. Idiot! Good thing Alice is coming to save the day. :-)

It was Jasper who banged into Edward and Bella.  Talk about the pain of being hit by a solid marble statue at incredible velocity.  Edward took the bunt of it, thank goodness Jasper's love for Edward stopped him from biting Edward.  Otherwise he would be changed back into a vampire.  Bella was cradled by Edward and had no injuries from the fall/push.  Edward dislocated his shoulder.  Oweeee!  Yikes!!!  Painville.  I liked Carlisle fooling Edward about the count of three.  Doing it while the patient is still semi relaxed and not expecting it.  I have never had a dislocated joint (knock on wood) but I have heard they are very painful.  Breaking 3 fingers on his hand was also painful, but couldn't feel it until shoulder pain was reduced.  Edward closing himself off to Bella is wrong on so many levels.  She thinks he is concerned about the horror of the event at the house.  Frightened for himself.  He's not, he's afraid for Bella.  Sounds like he is planning on taking a hike.  Leaving her thinking he's putting her in danger.  Carlisle has already mentioned the family moving because he's concerned about Edward's safety being human around the family.  Emmett and especially Jasper have been know to fall off the wagon so to speak.  Was Edward planning on leaving with them?  Or just planning on leaving Bella and going somewhere on his own?  Or he is planning on returning to a vampire to protect his Bella?  Newborn Edward would probably kill Bella rather than protect her.  Alice trying to help Jasper, but has to go back and kick Edward to get his attention for an attitude adjustment.  Whatever Edward has decided to do, Alice is upset.  I really don't want to be Edward when Alice reaches Forks again.  That boy is in for some serious verbal scolding and lectures.  Shutting Bella out is hurting her more than the truth of what Edward fears the most.  If he leaves her after all they have been through it will kill both of them to be apart.  Just his kissing her before pulling apart to sleep.  Edward was more demonstrative with his kisses than normal.  Not giving Bella must time to breath.  Almost like it will his last kiss goodbye to her.  He'll leave and never come back type of kiss.  Edward thinking what's best for Bella again without consulting her and her feelings/thoughts.  Edward isn't safe human either.  Both Edward and Bella are in danger of the supernatural.  Next chapter with Alice cutting into Edward's hide should be humorous with Alice's snide comments and serious as a heart attack with information on what he plans to do and the effects it will have on Bella, himself, Charlie, the wolves, and the remaining Cullen family members.  Go Alice give him a piece of your mind and knock him in the head.  Decisions in a relationship need to be made by both parties not one making them for the supposed good for their partner. 

he better not be leaving with them....

And it seems like Bella and Edward just can't seem to escape "destiny".  First with the paper cut and Jasper almost 'eating' Bella, and now with Edward doing something retarded.  I like the way you're staying canon with the plot and characters.  It's almost like reading a different version of the book =)
