That last part was cool. I'm stillnot convinced about her not picking up anything over the last half century. I'd expect twilight vampires, due to there true eidetic memories, psychological celerity, and ability engage in multiply thoughts simultaniously, would have a fairly easy time with math and science.
I like the bonding thing. I'm a little confused now, but i like this concept, and where it is going. I approve of her show of pride, That was something I expected and was glad to see.
Luckily the highschool thing is just the first part of the Cullen's stay anywhere. Settle in, get 2-3 years of HS done publically, so they think you are actually a teen, then spend the next 4-9 years doing as you please before people notice you are not aging and repeat the cycle. It'll be more difficult for Bella, being stuck at 15. She'll never be able to pull off 20, let alone 25. Oh well.
I'm looking forward to the continuing relationship that build here, see how things shake out.

This Isabella is an odd creature. Oh the one hand, a valuable 620 year old lethal vampire with an odd Scrying gift. On the other, her isolation has left her unsuited to social interaction beyond what she has known in Italy. For all their love, She still is stuck at 15. She will have a more difficult time blending into anywhere long term.
Something in this High School event though strikes me as odd. She is twice Carlisle's age, Her formal education may be lacking, but she still has 620 years of life experiance and a eidetic memory. Her relationships with each Cullen are certainly to be still in flux as to how they'll settle with eachother, yet, she is still almost twice Carlisle's age. Maybe I'm expecting something more, but there seems to be a disconnect in terms of respecting the weight of experiance that age entitles her to. I dunno, I'm having a hard time pinpointing what I'm trying to say.
I'm going to continue reading, see how this plays out.
Author's Response: The reason she doesn't know that much is because I figured: "Well what would you really want to learn about? Would you have chosen to learn about amoebas and Pythagoras' Theorum and genetics if you honestly had no interest in them at all? If you had a choice?" I thought that the answer to that question would be a 'no' and so all of this stuff that the human race only really started discovering in the past 150 years would just slip you by. It's also not obvious in life, because you don't really come across this stuff in your everyday living. So it slipped by Isabella, as you recognised, in her isolation in Volterra. That's why she doesn't know all of this stuff, as you see in the next chapter. :)

feel a bit more sympathy for Iago, but still mad at him D: and no idea why Kate is so cold towards Bella when she knows he's her brother. Can't be thinking she'll take him away... i can only imagine that he has said some nasty things about her.

Author's Response: Haha, yeah, things didn't quite go how they were meant to. But it's not because she was ever interested in him as a mate, though. Looking back I can see it was slightly ambiguous. Author's Response: I plan to answer those questions in the next few chapters... :) But firstly, 'cause I think I have confused people with this, Iago and Isabella were never mated. He doesn't want her as his mate, but they were very close friends.
