Absolutely great chapter! My heart was breaking! Edward is so lost, so confused with his memories of making love to Bella and feelings of being lied to, wow! I feel the emotions and it is overwhelming, especially when some of his memories are returning at the end...wow!!! He wants her safe and that feeling overrules everything else!!!! Love it!! Wow, that was an amazing chapter. To relive the story was quite visual. Glad Bella was there. Edward didn't believe him? Wow! Glad Carlisle showed him the truth. Loved the visual of the picnic table flipping and the bleeding. Very real! Bella and Edward had sex....hmmm, wonder if she could get pregnant?? Please don't give up Edward. I love how Edward is so close to Bella. He knows something is wrong, and while he wants to know, I'm not sure how he'll take it. Maybe he can still be part vampire like Rennesme, and if he bites Bella she would become a vampire. Not sure how Edward should tell Edward, since he is so fragile, but it needs to come out. Maybe if Edward sees old photographs of himself from over the years he would realize he's not aging, and come to his own realization! Hmmmm! Love how Edward still can't get enough of Bella. So sweet! I was actually afraid he might turn into a werewolf. Then I said, how could he - they have been on the run for so long, ther would have been a full moon and nothing happened - right? But on the other hand, I guess this is probably the first time a werewolf tried to turn a vampire into a werewolf, so it's not like there's any point of reference - oh gosh, I'm confusing myself again. I've been aware for a few chapters now that Oscar was involved, and probably Paul, I guess? (Although I'm not sure if that makes sense; maybe it was another Quileute, because Paul only started hanging around Oscar after Rachel got killed, which was way after Edward disappeared - uh - I'm confusing myself here...) Anyway, I can't wait to find out what exactly happened to return Edward to his almost-human state...
I also can't wait for the moment when the Cullens will finally tell Edward what they are - I mean, they can't hide it forever, or maybe his memories will come back? Oh, the anticipation :-)

Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I promise you that there is a HEA at the end, but there are trials ahead as there have been all along. They'll appreciate what they have so much more, however, when things work out for them.

I guess Bella's making a stupid mistake again but I don't think she really has any choices right now. Who is this creepy dude? Still wondering what her medical issue is. Maybe it's something that will make her immune to werewolf bites so when she eventually is infected we'll sweat it until she's declared healthy. I have been worried about Carlisle annd Esme ever since they disappeared into Oscar's lab.
Author's Response: Thank you for the review! Yeah, it is not a great choice, but in the situation she is in I don't think that she had an alternative. She couldn't escape because she would be too slow. She couldn't help Jacob because he would kill himself trying to protect her instead of protecting himself. She needs Carlisle and Esme and in the past she's always run to them for help, so I think it's understandable.

Oh my gosh... You made me cry AGAIN... I never really thought about how scared everyone must have been, with the influenza spreading everywhere. That little kid, all alone *sniffles* I can't even think about it.
Author's Response: Thank you for the review. I actually did research about the Spanish Influenza (English major) and found some first hand accounts about it. It really did hit them that quickly and it completely decimated the population. I read a document from a nurse that said that a person could get sick that day and then pass it to their family and overnight they die. What a terrifying disease!
