i felt relieved half way through this chapter when bella could have run but then she didn't and i was yelling at my computer screen. my sister thinks i'm mad. poor edward. i think you did quite well in portraying the volturi. i think aro is definitely sadistic enough to do all those things to bella and edward. he's power-hungry and ruthless. please update soon. i don't know how bella's gonna get out of this one.

I'm glad you can see Aro the way I do; ruthless and willing to do anything for that power. I didn't actually mean to write him quite so sadistically, but he seemed to want to come out that way. so i let him :)

I don't find it that out of character, personally.  An AU is an AU and quite frankly, the way they come to slaughter/imprison the Cullens in BD and seek to manipulate any old reason to get their way seems to keep their behaviour here fitting.

People are silly.

In any case, I really love this.  Heartbreaking!  Poor Bella and Edward.  But surely, surely a happy ending will come...  Perhaps one of Bella's abilities will hurt Aro and make everyone else want to set her free?  Because truly, they don't know what will happen to any of them if she touches them, so how can they ever let her out?  And Aro is bound to be tempted to try out his new 'toy' so he won't lock her in forever....

this chapter was well worth the wait...even though it was beyond evil in how heartbreaking it was!  Edward and Bella broke my heart.

And I like how you've done the Volturi.  Alternate Ending to New Moon by Jaxidy Alpha writes the Volturi as pretty evil as well...I like them evil...well I love to hate them :)

I love to hate the Volturi too. There needs to be someone to blame for the evil of the world! The Volturi work well :) And I'll ahve to check out that Alt ending to NM you mentioned...

RL is still hectic (hence taking another few weeks to respond and get my next chapter up) but with school starting again, my favourite activity is ignoring all my homework and studying and writing fanfic instead. So I should be back on schedule soon :)

 

Hopefully they will find a way to be together again!

Your opening chapter has seriously grabbed my attention and I'm definitely wanting to read more.  Before I do though, I wanted to let you know how impressed I am.

Your writing style has a crisp delivery that makes it a pleasure to read. Your descriptions are very evocative without going too far with the detail, and you've established enough of the past history to create intrigue, but not melodrama.  Excellent work. More please!

Love the chapter...such a great update is well worth the wait...love powerful (yet surprisingly still naive and easily fooled) Bella...too bad she accidentally killed Nathaniel, or then again, maybe not...I sure wish she'd give Aro and Jane what for...they are vile...can't wait to see what else you brew up for this story...it has been amazing so far...happy holidays to you...
