What erks you in fandom???

I don't hate anybody based on who they date. The one real reason I don't like anybody is whether they can do what they're being paid to do. And as far as the Twilight Saga goes, this wasn't a good place for Kristen to stretch her acting chops. Then again, I've yet to see her in anything where she doesn't look the way she does in Twilight. Hairstyle change or no.

ITA, she has very limited range so every role comes off almost the same - no depth. That is fine in a supporting role but leads should have better skills.

I don't have anything against her, I just think she sometimes gets roles someone else could have done better.

I used to think Rob's sloping forehead made him look a bit like a neanderthal, but he's grown on me. I think it's all the pictures with him in hats. LOL. Kristen on the other hand, I don't really think is pretty. She's not ugly, she's just not this great beauty that everyone tries to make her out to be just because she starred in Twilight. Honestly though, I'm not sure either of them will ever be Oscar worthy actors. I think Rob's best role might've been Cedric Diggory (and it's not like he got hours of screen time there). Kristen just looks perpetually constipated....in everything!

The first time I saw her was in Zathura, and since she was playing a bratty teenager, I guess she had that role down without any work. She's never really impressed upon me that this acting thing is even something she wants to do for the rest of her life.

Rob, on the other hand, shows that he's an actor in every movie I've seen him in. It doesn't help that he's not very bad looking, but it's just a bonus for me. I thought he was talented and good-looking before Twilight. It's okay with me that people think he's ugly and can't act. Most people who think that have only seen Twilight.

I guess I'm a little biased since I am I woman, but I honestly don't think that has anything to do with it.

You're right not everyone is going to like her or any of the other cast and I actually really like her but I'm not forcing my opinions on people like these super creepy girls on twitter/tumblr/youtube...etc. I mean ok it's on thing to say you don't like her acting but the personal attacks and threats to kill her and her fans are so disturbing.

I posted it before but some people seriously have trouble separating the cast from their characters.

This is intensely true, especially with all the stupid speculation about whether she and Rob are dating/getting married/having kids/moving in together . . . The list goes on and on.

Some of the fans really don't know how to separate movies from real life. It's sad, really.

My "hating on" Kristen stems purely from her inability to act the movies I've seen her in. It has nothing to do with Rob and her relationship with him be it working or otherwise.

It's a sad thing for this fandom since there are those that cannot separate character from actor. I refuse to read real person fanfic's because I think that crosses the line between liking something and being overly obsessed with it.

Yeah some people really have a hard time apparently. Weird, and what makes it more disturbing is the cycle that goes on. Like back in the day when it was all about Dicaprio, and now it's all about Rob, next thing you know there will be someone else.

Anyway don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Rob, I just think Kristen is more attractive - and I formed that opinion before Twilight came along.

People reporting stories is big on my list of irks. 99% of the time it has more to do with a certain reader targeting the author than the content itself.

Like recently there was a story where 16 year-old Bella was having sex (not explicit) and someone was trashing the author and reported it to FF for a minor having sex. I go to this persons page and her favorite list is full of fics where B/E have sexual contact together before 18 - I mean wtf?

Or people reporting stories that are clearly marked with another ship that have sex scenes and then have B/E bondage fics in their favs.
