One-shot contest question

I'm trying to figure out how to host a one-shot contest (on FF.net or on here)
But I don't have the first clue about how to go about it. What about prizes? Judges? Getting the word out about the contest? So I'm trying to see is someone who's experienced with sort of thing might be interested in maybe co-hosting with me?

My idea is a fairytale oneshot contest. We'd have a list of common fairytales and people would pick one to base some part of their story around it.

Thoughts? Comments? Any interest?

There was a fairytale contest in 2009, called Once Upon a Twilight. Maybe you could contact those organizers and offer to help with another round.
