Edward Masen, center fielder for the Boston Red Sox, meets Bella Dwyer, a reporter for EPSN who's been assigned to cover the streaking Sox for the last half of the season. Edward hates reporters; Bella loathes baseball. Defying the odds, they become involved, and the Sox begin to lose. Can Bella convince Edward that she isn't his unlucky charm?

Alice and Jasper join their new family, and even though Alice jumps right into it, Jasper slowly fits in as well. But not everything is well with him, there is still pain and suffering in his eyes, and Carlisle wonders why.

Edward suffers from clinical paranoia, and has always has the crippling feeling that someone is watching him. Is he losing his mind or could there be something to his fear? LEMONS, Language OOC/AU

This is a winning entry for “A Canon Christmas” contest hosted by Twilighted.net.  I chose a pre-Twilight, angst-ridden Edward piece.   This is also my first ever attempt at fanfiction, and was written entirely Beta-free, unfortunately.

Edward over hears a very juicy secret regarding his younger sister, Alice.  The plot to blackmail Alice in order to get closer to her best friend, Bella, forms in his mind, but doesn't exactly pan out the way he wants it to.  Rated for Edward's foul mouth and the sprinkles of lemonade with the eventual lemon.

If she had heard the screech of the tires sooner, or not been so caught up in her emotions over snow chains she might not have been there at that very second. But she hadn’t heard the tires and she had been caught up in thoughts of Charlie and when she’d spun to see what everyone else was already seeing, it was too late.
